Obviously recruiting matters but this is fun to look at this year. Our average recruiting class ranking since 2017 is #26. We’ve been remarkably consistent, landing between 24 and 28 every year on 24/7.

Vanderbilt - #53
Louisiana Tech - #92 (damn near lost)

Alabama - #1
LSU - #7 (could have won)
Arkansas - #30 (should have won)
Memphis - #64 (we did win)
I don’t really know what this tells us but it was interesting to see how all over the place the recruiting rankings were. It does seem like there is a big difference in being the #1 or #2 recruiter and being #5 or below.
Also, it looks like the combination of the Air Raid offense and a Zach Arnett defense give us a really good chance against everyone but the most talented teams.
