I won't be surprised if most QB's leave this year. They are the only position not subject to the draft pick slotting, that most teams go by, and if there is a cap in place for the 2011 draft, which is anticipated, they could be looking at Millions of dollars lost. I think I know why Meyer is taking a leave of absence, his team is going to be devastated by the draft.

worried about his performance his junior year. Hell, i'm worried about his performance in the Cotton Bowl let alone against NFL defenses. He would need to be drafted as a backup right now.

Cause I could see wanting to go ahead and take your shot at the NFL if you had options besides football if it didn't come through. I would think this year wasn't the type of year that made him love playing college football.

But if he's declaring because he thinks he will hurt his draft prospects even more this upcoming year, that would cause me concern if I were an UM fan. Obviously lots of other possible reasons too

I have tried and tried to figure out the significance of your sig pic and simply can't put my finger on it. Is it all the holding going on?

Powe putting T Bob on his *** a few yards behind the los?

Or the uppercut being thrown by Johnny Brown?

Take your pick?

is because of the losses on the Offensive line next year. He has proven he gets wild when rattled and given the line protecting him next year there is no reason to believe things will get better. I could see him leaving just to survive.

He loses a heck of a lot at RB, OL, and WR. I'd take a 3rd or 4th (I'm assuming this is where he'd be projected) round pick over not being drafted at all next year...

If I were Snead , I would go ahead and go to the NFL.

He didn't have the kind of year He wanted to have for sure , but I think He won't gain a lot by staying at Ole Miss.

He has the size and the arm to play in the NFL and is pretty quick on his feet. He has shown in the past He can be very accurate throwing the ball. He has all the tools to play QB in the NFL.

Now I know some will question his accuracy because of his INTs this year , but I don't think that was about being inaccurate , the picks were more about staring down receivers and giving away where He was going to throw the football. I don't think it was an issue of not being able to throw the ball where He wanted to , He just was too easy to read. That can be coached out of him. And yes , He will be a backup , but so are most QBs when they go from the college game to the NFL.

Wouldn't surprise me if He left early.

He had the skills, he just needs some work. I can think of several NFL teams that would draft a project QB with potential, especially if they have a solid QB already in place.

because Snead would throw it up for grabs instead of taking the sack. Just because he didn't take a lot of sacks doesn't mean he handled pressure well. Are you saying you don't think he got rattled under pressure?

he played on a VERY talented team his sophomore year and excelled. Then he lost Oher, Mike Wallace, and a couple others and his numbers went down.

I think he's looking at the 2010 UM team as less talented thant he 2009 team, and he doesn't want to put up similar numbers.</p>

Obviously he is leaving because he knows he can't beat out Randall Mackey. That and he knows Bradley Sowell will still be protecting his blind side next year if he stays and he won't have McCluster to bail him out.

He did get pressured more this year than last year, and I still think a lot of his problem stemmed from spring practice. We were shifting players around on our OL all spring and early fall trying to find the right mix. Meanwhile, in 1s vs. 1s, our OL was facing one of the top pass rushes in the SEC every day, and Snead had zero time to throw.

I think that's part of the reason he saw ghosts this year so much. He anticipated the rush even when it wasn't there because he had no faith in his OL. He probably would've been better off if he'd have faced the scout team all year so that he could've had confidence in his OL. The SC game, he was getting pressured big time. In other games, it wasn't as bad as he made it on himself.
