Interesting in how these rankings sometimes lie. Our opponents only had 7 red zone chances.
However, the opponents have scored every time. 4 rushing touchdowns, 1 passing and 2 field goals.

The only other team to have allowed under ten red zone trips by their opponent is Michigan, and they are ranked #1.
(they allowed only 3 scores from the red zone)

Most other teams have in the 20s red zone appearances by their opponent.

This means nothing, I just found it interesting.

Yes, we've held opponents to one RZ chance all year and they scored on it. We're terrible! Lol

This reminds me of when Jay Paterno was OC and we were kicking a bunch of field goals when we got to the red zone. He attempted to say that we were a great red zone team because we were scoring on a high percentage of times that the offense made it inside the 20 yard line. In reality, we were really bad in the red zone because we were only getting a bit more than 3 points per trip to the red zone, rather than nearly 7 points per trip to the red zone.

But the most reliable indicator is points. I'll take points any way I can get them, even if a team scores on a bunch of big plays from outside the red zone.
