No. There is not a single elite team in the field this year. Texas is as flawed and skilled as anyone out there

Nah, I wouldn't say they're overrated! Things just played into their favor in regards to the rankings and when other teams lost!

I think they had a bad showing against UGA and some of that had to do with Quinn being out for some time and not in game shape or rhythm!

They were given an easy schedule but they haven't lost to anyone they shouldn't have.

The only team in the SEC that can say that is Georgia.

Alabama and Ole Miss are good teams.

“Haven’t lost to anyone they shouldn’t have”…..I believe UGA was favored in both losses.

To the OP, yes Texas is overrated. The loss to UGA told all of us that.

Thats not what I meant.

I meant they didn't lose to an Arkansas or Vanderbilt or Kentucky.

Losing to 2 top ten teams are games any team could lose.

If Texas had to play a harder schedule, they would be in **** fest also.

Losing at home does not seem to matter in 2024, Ole Miss loss to a 4 win Kentucky at home and Texas lost by 2 scores at home to UGA.
A&M lost at home to ND. Those are the only losses by the top SEC teams at home. Tennessee, Bama, UGA have not lost at home. Those 3 teams have beaten each other at their place. I think that should mean something.
Example, Ole Miss beat UGA at home but lost to Kentucky at home. Tennessee beat Bama at home but their 2 losses were to UGA and Arkansas, on the road. Bama lost to Vandy and Tennessee both on the road...

Well, Arkansas is likely a 7-5 team, hardly fair to compare them to a 3 win Kentucky team that Ole Miss lost at home too. JMO

Nah, game threads are great entertainment though. What are your thoughts on the rankings?
I think we need to have football people do them and not a bunch of AD’s and politicians.

I hope to God Bama, Ole Piss, and UGA go on the road to three big 10 schools and Molly whop the **** out of them.

Lol whyy? UGA got blown out two weeks ago.
Lol why? Bama lost to a crap Vandy team and Tennessee but is ranked above TN.. Bama gets rewarded 2 or 3 sports for beating Mercer while UGA only moves 1 spot for beating a top 10 team. UGA's losses come to top 12 teams while Bama get canned by Vanderbilt. Do you also think Indiana and PSU are better than Bama,UGA, OM and Tennessee? I am simply saying none of it makes sense, not even close. The fact Boise state is going to get a 1st round BYE is an absolute joke.

Ranking Bama, Ole Miss, UGA, or Tenn in any order means someone is going to be behind a team they beat with exception of OM who has worse losses than any of the other 3 teams.

Also, Bama got rewarded for emptying Death Valley midway through the 3rd the same weekend that Ole Miss bludgeoned UGA.

Spare me.

What does the same weekend have to do with anything? Using your argument, UGA should be rewarded for losing to ranked teams on the road while beating a top 5 team on the road and a top 10 team at home. There's no way you can spin a vandy loss.

Let me also add, yes, you can thrown Bama, UGA and OM in a blender but don't sit there and also tell me they deserve to be behind PSU, Indiana either, as well as Boise getting a 1st round BYE. That is an absolute joke.

Vandy isnt a pretty loss, but let’s not act like this is your normal Vandy. They are already bowl eligible at 6-4 with a chance for more to finish the season. UGA barely escaping with a 1 point win at Kentucky is worse based on the eye ball test. I like how you gloss over the fact that UGA has looked like absolute sh*t for the majority of the season….your own fan base has said as much.

Why is it a foregone conclusion that Boise gets a bye? These are only for discussion. There is no chance that Boise gets a 1st round bye.

And I wouldn't, but you went at Bama specifically and your whole argument applies to every SEC team with two Ls.

It had to do with Georgia getting crushed two weeks ago, while Alabama hasn't lost in 4 weeks and has outscored ranked opponents 76-13 since that loss.

Also, Vandy is a way better loss than Arkansas this season.

A loss to Vandy is terrible. Let's not act otherwise. The close win against UK wasn't pretty, I am not denying that.

A win doesn't matter when it took place. Neither does a loss. Stop trying to make a Vandy loss not so bad. It is absolutely terrible. You are now thumping your chest about beating LSU who just lost to UF.

You just see the name “Vandy” and act like they are a bottom feeder this year lmao. It is a game that Alabama shouldn’t have lost. This is also not your normal Vandy. Both of those things can be true.
