A win doesn't matter when it took place. Neither does a loss. Stop trying to make a Vandy loss not so bad. It is absolutely terrible. You are now thumping your chest about beating LSU who just lost to UF.
Vandy would work UGA this year lmao. UGA lost to Ole Miss, who lost to Kentucky, etc etc.

Sure there is, unless you are a simpleton. How many top 25 wins does UT have?
One less than Bama who they crushed head to head. UGA has more top 3 wins and top 25 wins than Bama using your criteria.

Ok, glad we agree Bama barely beat UGA then.
I don’t really car how you look at it lmao. I see you have created a strawman. I don’t recall seeing Alabama fans describe yet another win over UGA as “crushing”, but I will play your game of false equivalencies. UT never blew Alabama off the field by 4 TDs at any point in the game. Alabama also has a dominant win over a team ranked in the top 25 of both polls (Mizzou) that barely missed the committee’s rankings so they could assist Penn St by sliding Illinois in. So, Alabama has 2 more top 25 AP wins than UT. That is why Alabama is ranked above UT.

The SEC has 4 teams wanting the final 3 spots.

I understand why Alabama is ranked above us. It's because they have been good for a long time. We haven't.

It is what it is.

I just hope Florida beats Ole Miss and we beat Vandy.

ND is an embarrassment every year and the media always finds a way for them. I bet America wants them to lose this weekend.
ND and Penn St are the exact same. Pump em up and then be shocked when they lose.

All I’m going to say is this: if Texas’ best wins are against Vanderbilt, who did beat Bama, but also lost to Georgia state. And Arkansas, who beat Tennessee, but lost in overtime to the worst Big 12 team in their conference in Oklahoma state. And the one good team they played and got boat raced in, it’s fair to say Texas is overrated

Agree MM is a weird situation. Big Texas fan but just too much of that Alright Alright crap.

As far as Texas being overrated, suck it boys!
Talk to me about OU now, Bama.

What's the update on Ewers?

SEC went from having 6 teams competing for a playoff spot to having 3 in one day. Wild.

“Haven’t lost to anyone they shouldn’t have”…..I believe UGA was favored in both losses.

To the OP, yes Texas is overrated. The loss to UGA told all of us that.
Georgia outplayed them.
No one else has come close to them.
They have dominated most of the teams but no one ever said Georgia wasn’t really talented and motivated….

They were given an easy schedule but they haven't lost to anyone they shouldn't have.

The only team in the SEC that can say that is Georgia.

Alabama and Ole Miss are good teams.
This is the difference in the last two seasons. They have yet to play a murderers row schedule but every version of Texas since Colt McCoy lost to teams they should’ve walloped.

Mizzou may be the tigers but they were definitely PAPER tigers as any team they played worth a crap took them to the woodshed. Had a very weak schedule and was still only average.

The score of the TN vs Bama game was close but TN was its own worst enemy for the first half of that game on offense. Turnovers in scoring position and missed FG’s kept it close. Nico also missed wide open guys that would’ve been a TD if he completes it. Nico has been missing less and less of those throws as it seems to be slowing down for him. Milroe on the other hand has consistently shown that the only thing he’s consistent at is being wildly inconsistent. One game he looks like a Heisman QB…the next game he looks like a D-II QB who might get benched. Point is I think TN has improved more in one of their trouble areas than Bama who just 2 weeks ago only managed 3 points against Oklahoma. Bama goes as Milroe goes and he’s hot and cold. If he’s cold they’re fooked.

Would you consider South Carolina “worth a crap” or nah? You act like Alabama actually played a good game in Knoxville and UT was the only one missing opportunities. Lmao if you think that UT mistakes are the only reason the Bama UT game was “close”. UT had 1 more turnover. Alabama had more penalties and yards. Neither team played sharp. Very little difference in those teams…..both are average in a very average year for CFB.

Missed the biggest fraud of all. Notre Dame. Ranked in the top 5 and after A&M dropped out of the top 25 they don’t have a ranked team on their schedule. The service academies may be their most impressive win. They don’t have a signature win over a quality opponent but they are the owner of the worst loss as their loss to NIU was in a category all its own amongst teams in the playoff picture/conversation. It was so bad I think the committee decided to throw it out as trying to quantify broke their system. The committee chose to forget and forgive. I would’ve counted it as 2 losses seeing how it was 2x as bad as any other loss.

I have other issues with Notre Dame and their special treatment but not getting into all that. They will get taken to the wood shed when they play a quality team in the playoff. Committee will probably give them Indiana in the first round to help them save face as both of them should be fighting for a 11 or 12 seed.

The service academies may be their most impressive win. They don’t have a signature win but they are the owner of the worst loss as their loss to NIU was in a category all its own. It was so bad the committee decided to forget about it apparently because there was no way to quantify how bad it was. 11 wins is a mirage/illusion. Make it 20 wins and it still doesn’t mean you’re good if the only teams on your schedule are bad teams. A&M was likely their toughest opponent and they are above average maybe…That was also Elko and his staffs first game at A&M so how impressive is that win honestly? Then they follow up that game with the loss at home to NIU. ND just getting in I could be okay with but being a lock to host and more than likely the 5-6 seed is criminal. There is absolutely no incentive to play quality opponents as teams do not have to provide evidence that proves their quality. Beating bad teams has nearly the same rewards with much less of the risk because even if you screw around and lose to a terrible team it will be expunged and forgotten.

Notre Dame will get blown out in the second round…maybe the 1st if Bama or USCjr sneaks in and is the 12 seed. The committee will probably match them up with Indiana who is the other fraud and it will appear as a competitive game and it will be because 2 average teams are evenly matched. Thing is that whoever gets them in the 2nd round gets as close as they possibly could to another bye again in the 2nd round when others will have played 1 if not 2 very good hard won games.

Sorry for the rant but Notre Dame and how they are treated burns me up. They have a different set of metrics they are judged by and from what I can tell their criteria is absolutely anything that can be used as a positive. Right now it’s 11 wins. Those 11 wins are unimpressive as there isn’t a good win amongst them. Their lone loss is an abomination and is the indisputable worst loss of any team in the playoff conversation. Should honestly count as 2 losses maybe 2.5 as NIU finished 4-8 I believe. That’s bad and in a bad conference. Bad + bad = ??? Committee didn’t know either so they threw it out. Bad losses like TN vs Arky are bad but understandable and happen from time to time. Top 5 teams don’t lose to NIU or similar type teams. NIU is who we thought they were. A bad team. Notre Dame is what they are and that is a decent to above average football team. Maybe top 20, top 15 at best. Top 10 nope, top 5…Hell No.
Even worse, why is ND ranked so high? They lost at home to a 0.500 G5 team lmao.
The NIU loss at home is by far the worst loss of any team in the playoff conversation. Category by itself and should count as 2 losses. Notre Dame doesn’t have a quality ranked team to counter that horrible loss yet it doesn’t hurt them as they are forgiven evidence by their top 5 ranking.

The difference in their losses are night and day different. Penn St doesn’t have an impressive win and neither does Notre Dame. Notre Dame has lapped the field and already claimed the trophy in the race for worst loss amongst the playoff teams as theirs is in a category by itself.

Penn State will also play in the conference championship game. Notre Dame doesn’t have to worry about that (honestly as a quality opponent would likely expose them for the fraud they are).

Their loss is in a category by itself and should honestly count as more than 1 loss as it’s 2x as bad as any other teams loss. If it’s 2x as bad why not count it double. Losing to a team with a losing record is bad, losing at home is bad and then factor in their conference is bad and it’s the trifecta of terribleness. It broke the way losses are measured. The committee being unsure how to factor it decided to forget about and act is if it didn’t happen. Point is if you lose make it so bad that it breaks their scale and it will be tossed aside.

Talk to me about OU now, Bama.
Oklahoma is still bad. Bama is Jekyll and Hyde, specifically Milroe as Bama’s offense goes how Milroe goes. Milroe has proven to be consistently inconsistent especially when throwing the ball. Bama doesn’t have near the running game they used to under Saban and the defense while still good isn’t elite like it was more years than not under Saban. Milroe is asked to do about everything and to have success requires him playing at a high level. When he does they are as good as anyone. When he’s off they can lose to anyone.
Texas is good. Are they #2 good? I don’t know but they play UGA in the SEC championship and it will work itself out. Playing Atlanta is UGA’s back yard and more like a home game for them distance wise. The crowd will likely be 50/50.

Personally I’m pulling for a natural disaster that somehow gives them both a loss. I don’t wish injuries on anyone but I hope it’s a slugfest that leaves both teams beaten up. A few targeting calls in the second half would be nice as well.

Don’t get it twisted, I think Notre Dame doesn’t belong in the playoffs SOLELY because of that
