Is this the beginning of the end?

How does the win against Minny in any way, negate the complete flop against Michigan?
It doesn’t. It is just a big win:
in Homecoming game,
that means a lot for recruiting,
In a national spectacle with millions of eyeballs,
against a quality opponent,
Coming after a tough loss/*ss whooping That win helped in multiple ways. Cliff played well, O line played well against a tough D, game plan improved utilizing the TE’s. Got best LB’s on the field and they delivered.
Lot to like and only a few negatives:
2 big pass plays that seeming should happen and 1st half one took our foot off their neck. Even Cliff’s pick wasn’t the worst because PE fell down/tripped. We later got a pick on a similar play. Turnover gods giveth and taketh away.

It doesn't. But it's over. The players and coaches have moved on and already played another game. You can keep watching the Michigan tape in your Mom's basement and be bitter.

I wish the coaches would learn from this…

I am positive that win on Saturday pissed off a lot of people in this thread. Instead of being able to come here and complain they will have to wait until the team loses again before they can tell everyone "I told you so" which is more important than anything.
As always, I’m complaining about being unable to hang with the big boys. ZFG beating Rutgers by 14

Oh, I don't mean to defend Franklin overall, I am as ticked off at him as anyone currently. I also think he has more than a few immature outbursts and I have questioned his leadership often. I am just saying, in this particular case, I don't have a problem with him saying "Don't talk to my players, I will handle them" to an opposing coach.
It started two hours before the game. Initiated by Penn State staffers and players. Teams weren't even in pads yet.

Get your *** into locker room at halftime and none of it happens.

Franklin is a straight up clown. Has he suckered psu into his last raise and extension?

Whatever makes you feel better after your team getting completely emasculated by that coach and his team. 418.

Looks like what makes you feel better is running your mouth on a different team's board over a week after the game.

Get a life jerkoff.

That's what Joe did in every single press conference. Every one. And it kept everyone quiet because there was no expectations.
Joe underpromised and overdelivered…for decades

The last win PSU football had against a top 5 team on the road was in 1994 while I was a sophomore. 18 of those years since 1994 were Paterno years. I loved Joe but just keeping the facts straight.

Congrats on this being possibly the first loss to Michigan, where your fan base hasn't blamed the loss on officiating! That's progress!! I guess even a completely delusional fan base can't ignore seeing their team getting disemboweled for 400 yards on the ground.

Whenever these frozen hillbillies get uppity I think about this picture and it makes me smile.

I’ll give um props for beating us badly about 10 days ago. They were better. Fine. However, there’s no cause for um athletic supporters to crow about it. For one thing, it wasn’t that long ago that the foot was on the other hand. These things have a way of going in cycles. Secondly, and more importantly, um has been a disgrace for decades with disgusting scandals and cover-ups. One after another after another. They need to keep quiet, as their air of superiority isn’t fooling anyone. Winning a football game is nothing given what has been going on up there.

I agree with it all. What they should be proud of is their ability to cover up and gloss over the systemic sexual assault of their football players by their team doctor for decades. Getting away with that is impressive in its own way, in addition to being a very sad commentary on our society.

I'll also add that their embarrassment awaits. In about one month they won't be crowing any longer. Possibly before that, since I wasn't really impressed with their team.

The irony in this post is just too strong.

And you come here talkin' 💩? Don't throw stones. Bo knew.

bo is just the tip of the iceberg at um. There were many enablers as it relates to handerson for decades. Then you have lewan and gibbons. stephen jenson. mark schlissel. On a relatively lighter note, the fraud five. And then you have their savior hairball helping bring to light years of academic cheating in their athletic department, including football.

All of this trivializes the fact that bo was a mediocre coach who made a living beating crappy b1g teams and losing Rose Bowls. Brutal.

(I’m sure I’m missing some huge um scandals. There are too many to keep track of.)
