Do you realize Fleming played 4 years at Ohio State? Fleming averaged less than 250 yards per season which is awful. Especially when you consider he was a 5 star recruit and the number one rated WR from High School in the 2020 class.
Fleming is a nice guy by all accounts. However, he is a possession type WR who was never known as a deep threat.
Bottom line, Fleming represents a small incremental improvement but not the 5 times you stated.
First, who gives a rip about his HS rating. Its meaningless. I also could care less that he is from PA. I'd say what I'm about to say if he came from the moon.
Do you understand the quality of the guys he has been competing with? PSU didn't have a receiver on the current roster that would have seen the three deep at OSU over the last 4 years let alone started. Possession receiver with that crew. Is the best WR at about every other team in the B10.
One of the last guys that left OSU that couldn't start there, ended up being a first round pick after playing at Bama for one year.
Just to be clear Jameson Williams played two years at OSU and had 6 starts with career numbers of 15 balls for 266 yards and 3 TDs. His numbers pale in comparison with Flemings. Your comments show a complete lack of a appreciation for how good the receivers at OSU have been.
If Fleming is healthy, he's off the board inside of three rounds in the next NFL draft. Thats pretty much a given. Do you understand, every starter that OSU has had at WR since the 2019 season has been a first round pick in the NFL draft. Oh, and this guy started for two years. I think he left because he understood, he's likely not a first round pick while about 4 other guys in that room might be, and he wants the chance to be a 60 or 70 catch guy, instead of being squeezed to get reps.
Nah, couldn't be that. He left just because he's not very good. Whats defined as good with that group and every other team in the country are two very separate things.
He's not likely the best receiver on the PSU roster. He's likely the best receiver on the PSU roster by a wide margin. I think KLS figured that out.
