Running up the middle has not worked 2 games in a row. But we saw some stuff last night on some end arounds to Bump that we can be successful at. Bump, Heavens, Lewis, and Perkins all have SEC caliber speed in my opinion. I'm hoping our weak OL forces our staff to start using the areas outside the hash marks to our advantage.
WR screens, RB screens, end arounds, and WR options are things we can use offensively to take pressure off of our young OL, and it gets our playmakers the ball in much more low risk scenarios than chunking it all over the field with Relflike our staff apparently wants to do. Relf is not a playmaker throwing theball. But Bumphis, Lewis, and Perkins are all very capable skill men that can make things happen.
This will require Mullen toabandon his current philosphy of the QB being the most important guy on the field, which I'm not sure he would be willing to do. But I think it gives us the best chance to win.
