during the course of the season......I think there may be some validity in that.......That's not an excuse for the way this team played last night at all.....We should've manhandled them....I think we thought we were over the hump and ready to compete with the big boys and can take weeks off......We're not that good yet......In any event, I think two previous games took the emotion out of this team......They'd better get it back real quick or UGA is gonna take us to the woodshed and they may do it anyway....

about only being able to get up for 3 or 4 games, but I think it goes without saying that we were flat last night. The combination of a few tough losses, a big game on the road next week that we need to win, and probably being over confident in our ability to beat "lesser" teams without playing at a high level all contributed. When I see a team play the way we did last night I put it more on coaching than the players. They have to get everyone prepared for the game during the week and do whatever is necessary to get everyone's head right. We did not show up to play last night. We were very fortunate to win that game.

that's probably why we would play pretty well against Alabama and yet get blown out by people like LSU when they were a 4-7 team and why we would occasionally lose to people like La Tech when Jackie was our coach.

It's up to the coach to prepare the team for each and every opponent.

To me, that's like saying- "I'm only going to work hard for three or four games."

If we're playing someone like La Tech, the focus should be on execution and trying to perfect what we do and trying to play as well as we can. That said, I do understand that games like last night happen sometimes.
