What are Pimp's thoughts on this?

The Giants agreed to trade the tight end to the New Orleans Saints for second- and fifth-round draft picks, according to a report on FOXSports.com. The deal is pending league approval, and Shockey must also pass a physical.
The Saints had offered the Giants the same deal for Shockey prior to April's draft but were rebuffed. The Saints and Giants had also previously discussed a three-team trade in which the Giants would have landed former Miami Dolphins defensive end Jason Taylor, who was traded to the Washington Redskins on Sunday, the Saints would have acquired Shockey and the Dolphins would have received draft picks, according to SI.com.

I think it is a good pickup. Peyton won't tolerate any BS from Shockey, and when healthly he is a pretty good upgrade on what we have had at TE in New Orleans. Now if only the defense can improve a little bit.

As a Saints season ticket holder I think this is a good move. He isn't the best but he's a nice insert into the Saints weakest link.

If he is healthy, he is a big addition. The Saints offense now has a lot of weapons and Brees is as good as any qb up there with the right supporting cast.

coached Shockey under Fossil- I have faith he knows what he's doing- going to be really tough for opposing d's to key on Bush (or Colston) as much as they did last year. The last quality TE Brees had was Gates- could be ridiculous.

Shockey will be a great and very valuable addition. The Saints struggled against the cover-2 defense last year without Deuce and a TE that can block and be a receiving threat. This offense will be sick
