Would have been the perfect guy to replace Oweh but once again we watch as others load up, he basically put all his eggs in the Stokes basket and here we are. I just am holding hope that Wilkins and Hawthorne are those “dudes” and maybe Ndiaye can give us something with Moreno but so many “ifs” and we’re supposed to be above the “if” game.

It's just bizarre how we can't get guys to start and Duke has Rippey, UL has Folgueiras, Arkansas has Andrews, and now Tennessee has Lundblade.... alll likely to come off the bench. These are all guys we would give starting spots to.

20 point UL beatdown next year. UT gonna sweep us. Kansas will boat race us and Stokes will have 25 and 10. SEC record will be at best 10-8.

year four incoming
I’d take 10-8 right now. I think we are likely looking at 6-12. Not sold on Kansas either at the moment. Stokes is vastly overrated IMO and seemingly extremely selfish. I don’t think he has a good game against us at all. Could be wrong, will see. All I know is I have zero expectations for making the tournament next year. I will not tune in to a single game against a P5 opponent expecting to win. I’m old enough to remember Eddie suttons last year but honestly don’t remember what I felt at that time but I do think we are going to have a season that mirrors that although we will win more games as more weak teams on our schedule now vs then. Problem is we will be the weak team against other P5 opponents.

At this rate, our rivals will be "our Super Bowl."

The differences between the talent of the top SEC teams and UK is as far as I have seen in years.
Night and day difference and I don't ever remember us being so lowly in the SEC ever. Depressing really.
Sadly it is. What have we spent on this team $7-8 million I have no idea. We’re shopping at Big Lots these days
And, Big Lots is out of business, kind of like Kentucky basketball.

I wonder how much money Nike poured into Tyran Stokes' recruitment, but it seems like UK has plenty of money to grab some big-name guys.
I posted this before, but I don’t think UK has as much as people think. The Stokes money (at least a portion 3-4mil) was only for Stokes. That’s no longer available…I think maybe it was agreed that it could be moved to Momcilovic but that’s it.

Here’s what I think they’ve spent based on what people have posted.

Moreno, Kam, Hawthorne, Noah, and Potter = $5.5 mil

Zoom + Williams + N’Diaye + McBride + Morton = $9.5 Mil

Freshmen Hawthorne and Williams $.5 mil

That totals $15.5 mill. Even if that’s off by $1 -1.5 mil, my guess is that Pope only has about $4 mil left. That’s why he’s bargain shopping in Europe.

But But uconn doesnt have stars to be good, so popes doing it like them!!!!
UConn may have the best backcourt in the country with Demary/Mullins. Hurley is the smartest coach by a mile. I'm not sure they brought one prospect in that wasn't signed, often in stealth fashion. These top programs really don't do this.

But but, the coaching experts told me that Pope is whiffing because of personality shortcomings, meanwhile, Mr. Wet Blanket personality himself, is loading up to contend with the best of the best next season!

Folks, take your head out of the sand… The boosters gave Stein the “Stokes money”, and told Pope, “Here’s some crumbs for mid majors and washed up Euro bums.”

UK has a men’s basketball NIL problem, not a dorky nerd coach problem. How much more do you need to see?
