Just read the SI article about Ohio State...

...I secured a SI magazine & took the time to read the whole article in SI about Ohio State.



Here are my immediate takeways:


1) According to SI, Jim Tressel has been cheating his whole coaching career, even before he got to Ohio State. The guy is a bigger hypocrite than the biggest hypocrite in Washington D.C. (which makes Tressell's nickname "the senator" all the more fitting. The guy is rotten to the core & his whole Christian father figure image is nothing but a big con).


2) According to SI, at least 28 Ohio State players have been flagged for trading autographs & Ohio State memorabilia for tattoos. To put that in perspective, if one MSU player was caught trading autographs & Miss. State memorabilia for tattoos, it would ruin the MSU football program for a decade. Yet Ohio State has at least 28 players caught up in this crap.

3) The "free vehicles for football players" thing is prevalent.


4) Ohio State football players used their favorite tattoo parlor as a hang out to drink, smoke pot, etc. At this location, Ohio State football players rub elbows with various shady characters.


5) In August, the NCAA will meet to decide what to do about Ohio State.


Conclusion: Even if the NCAA & law enforcement agencies decided to dig no further than they have already, there is already enough dirt on Ohio State to justify giving them the Death Penalty. The corruption runs very deep & branches out to several high profile, big money Ohio State associates.

Lastly, anybody who thinks Urban Myer or any other coach with an ounce of common sense is going to take the Ohio State job...you're out of your mind.

Even after the NCAA meets in August & gives Ohio State preferential treatment because they are Ohio State, the Ohio State football program is about to be reduced to smoldering ruins for the next decade.

But I agree.

The lack of bitches & ho's in the SI article was surprising, because you know they are a big part of this story.

That's more art than it is a business.

And players can't even make money off their own damn signature? That's just ridiculous. Hell, I'm surprised the NCAA doesn't mandate they provide the NCAA with a set amount of signed items per year, to be sold by the NCAA and not shared with the player in the slightest.

Trading an autograph for a tattoo is basically just trading art for art. What's next, banning the trading of baseball cards?

Even if you think allowing college football players to engage in a barter system should be ok, procuring marijuana via a barter system is still illegal.

how easy is it to "pay" 10k for an "autograph". Just like giving them a"summer job".

They say they should get paid, well where does it end? Should high schoolers get paid? I mean they are doing the same thing on a smaller scale? Should school districts and boosters be able to "buy" a player from another district? That is illegal now. You are "forced" to go to the district you live in. Where does it end?

Why is it different because college football makes so much money? If the argument is they should be paid because they are making it and not amateurs then that should apply in ALL cases. For instance, tee ball. The little ***** should get a cut off every seat and hot dog sold. I mean at the end of the day folks are there to see them, right?

If you pay them, thanks to title 9, you have to pay them all. There really isnt THAT much money going around. I mean its not like MSU has 30 million in earnings sitting there at the end of the year. Hell we spend all of it on the ENTIRE athletic department. They get the free eduaction, training from paid coaches, access to state of the art facilities, exposure, medical, surgeries,meals, etc etc...That said, I think they should be able to get a bit of spending money. I mean they already get some, but i think maybe they could get a little more because they really dont have time for a job even if they could have one.

If this keeps up folks, lets be hones the middle aged white folk, are gonna get sick and tired of it and not show up or quit giving money. We are in a bad time right now if they dont do something quick. I mean if rules are ******** why cant a player on any team just be a free agent after each year and go to the highest bidder? Seriously, where the 17 does this **** end?
