Art, seriously, weren’t you the least little bit surprised at the 94%? In my field I’m used to being wrong but eventually everything makes sense. A flagship state university with a 94% acceptance rate? I can’t even…

I saw that Tennessee was at 78% and thought that it was higher than it should be. I guess either I know nothing about the current realities of higher education or else I’m avoiding the truth.
Yes and no. Louisville has a lower admit rate at 66%. Kentucky is a better school, but both are shitbags. Go figure. I don't give much thought to the numbers for either of these schools, or the schools themselves for that matter.

You forgot the part about Neeli raising up louisville to the point of getting Penn State’s attention such that they stole her away.

He collected approximately two dozen reported scholarship offers, including Power Five options from schools such as Arizona State, Kentucky, Michigan, Pitt, Tennessee, and Texas A&M ( show me the money, baby)

With the exceptions of UM and Pitt, do the rest of these schools have lower academic requirements?
No ever school playing D1 football has the same. You have to meet the basic NCAA requirements to get in PSU OR UK
There’s a different set of rules for football than normal students

The NCAA Clearinghouse determines eligibility based on GPA in core courses and standardized test results (sliding scale). Each university can make their acceptance more but not less selective.
High school coaches and athletic directors are familiar with the process.

How does this affect Clifford's amateur status:

6. Who is a professional service provider? A professional service provider is an individual who provides third-party services to a prospective or current student-athlete. It includes, but is not limited to, an agent, tax advisor, marketing consultant, attorney, brand management company or anyone who is employed or associated with such persons.

I think he’s fine as long as he plays like an amateur.

"Clifford said he has worked in concert with PSU's compliance office to ensure he is following all guidelines." ESPN

I wouldn't speak to admission standards at any university. Lot's of assumptions in your post, zero facts.

"He's the heartbeat," said defensive recruiting coordinator and cornerbacks coach Terry Smith, whose focus on Philadelphia is key for Penn State. "He's kinda gonna be what Jesse Luketa brought for us as the pulse of the defense. I think this guy is gonna bring that to us. His energy, his smile, his personality, his tenacity, the dog in him."

What the heck is wrong with this picture?
🤔
The fact that Terry Smith is still hanging around?

Are you implying he wasn’t accepted based on how he looks? How do you know that guy isn’t a Rhodes Scholar? 😏
Are you inferring that the picture I posted is/was not a member of the Louisville student body?:geek:

But it would be appropriate if it was someone else's daughter?
Depends. If he had a consenting relationship with his English professor’s 19-year-old daughter I doubt we’d have seen him hit the portal, if this was indeed why he did.
