Still a bullsh|t scandal, but I get your point.

And I still wonder why swim trunks at tsm, a mandatory reporter, faced no charges for failure to report.
I don't know how old Talley is, but let's say 19. Age of consent is 16 or within 4 years. So that gives daughter age 15+ and consensual, totally legal. Now, if he violated some team rule about hitting on, dating or bonking a coach's daughter then that is another thing.

No issues for Bill McCartley when Sal Aunese got his daugther pregnant.

But, that was a different time - and Sal Aunese was the starting QB.

Edit- forgot she got pregnant twice, by two different players - Aunese being the first. Don't know who the secong guy is.

You mean like no one reporting it like before which caused what might be one of the biggest scandals in the history of sports.
I agree. Magic Mike should have reported it so here we are. Who is supposed to report this one?

All I am thinking now is how I managed to get out of my numerous youthful misdeeds unscathed. Boy, I got lucky. I was quite the jerk when I got drunk, mortifying. I was an idiot for far too long, took forever to grow up.

Whatever he did to deserve this, if anything, the kid is sitting down right now trying to repair what’s happened. That’s never easy.

"When I was young and immature, I was young and immature." Lots of us did stupid things, sometimes I think it made me a better father/husband. I knew what NOT to do!..We got it out of our systems.

I've seen the discussion here about why Talley might have left PSU, but have the real reason(s) ever been made public. Talley seemed like the kind of tough old school football player that would help PSU win games.....

Considering Talley's s style of play, this is a perfect landing spot for him... if it happens, we might be eating this one for a few years... so I sure hope there was a really good reason for him to leave.

Based on the rumors, I'm not expecting the coaching staff to put out a press release on it. :ROFLMAO:

"Maybe we can live without libraries, people like you and me. Maybe. Sure, we're too old to change the world, but what about that kid, sitting down, opening a book, right now, in a branch at the local library and finding drawings of pee-pees and wee-wees on the Cat in the Hat and the Five Chinese Brothers? Doesn't HE deserve better? Look. If you think this is about overdue fines and missing books, you'd better think again."

First question - if this was an NCAA clearinghouse issue with HS (did he actually graduate), then nobody including MSU can take him. That would have nothing to do with Penn State or transfer rights. In fact, I thought you cannot enter the transfer list if you are not eligible to play.

Second point - if this is some type of misconduct issue that borders on legal issue, and he tried to transfer (especially to a direct competitor), wouldn't the coaching staff then go public? If this is something that is an impending complaint, then that would normally be a reason for any team to be cautious.

Don't believe it was an academic issue.

Not uncommon for coaching staffs not to go public with (borderline) legal/disciplinary issues, especially when no charges have been filed, or there are no plans to do so.
