He does use 2 qb's at times, a little different than we do.I can picture #9 running this offense as depicted more than #15. We shall see how it morphs with the talent set at PSU, and James's input. Should be interesting.

Quit bitchin' and read his bio.
The article I read seemed to stress that he uses a ton of personnel( rotates in a lot of RBs, WRs, TEs). And then calls a play that feeds to the strength of the players. Let the offense force the defense to react to it and set the tone.He does use 2 qb's at times, a little different than we do.
Sounds good to me. Make the defense think and adjust. Iām looking forward to seeing what he has in mind for this offense. The last time Penn State got an OC that was thought to be a great play caller and innovative, it was Joe Moorhead. That worked out pretty well. The article I read seemed to stress that he uses a ton of personnel( rotates in a lot of RBs, WRs, TEs). And then calls a play that feeds to the strength of the players. Yep . Heās got to go through camp James .Franklin has about nine months to thoroughly āThis is how we do it hereā him for next seasonās opener.

Pretty sure that is correct. However, I also remember a lot of criticism for the Moorhead hire since he was coming from Fordham.Wasnāt Yurcich thought to be a solid hire?

I think it came down to blocking schemes with him, a revamp?Ciarocca (SP?) too. Guess weāll see.
I think the biggest question with this hire, to me, is how this hire might affect our recruiting in the greater Topeka region.
Sadly, it looks like just about everything else in Kansas. Meh.Topeka has a greater region? What does the lesser region look like?
While a lot of coaches pay lip service to it, all the reports on him say that he actually does adjust his offense to the talent he has at his disposal in order to maximize their strengths. For anyone in the know about our new OC, how well does Allar fit into his offense. My fear is that we have another Hackenberg situation on our hands. We need an OC that will handle Allar properly because Allar is our best chance to take the next step.

PSU is down one assistant from the NCAA limit. Kotelnicki, therefore, is allowed to participate fully in whatever functions Franklin sees fit. Not sure how heavily he should be involved in game planning for an offense with which he's not thoroughly familiar. That doesn't mean he can't make contributions.Franklin hired Kotelnicki before the transfer portal opens and the December signing day. Stability move. Kotelnicki therefore should be in place to get acquainted with the team and aid in recruiting immediately. Presumably this means that he will also be with the team for the bowl game, like Diaz was two years ago. If so, does this mean that Kotelnicki will only be able to observe practices for the bowl game and will not be involved in game-planning?
People see big QBs with big arms and think they are the second coming. Sometimes they are the second coming of....... Jim Bulger. Kotelnicki doens't have to be married to Allar if he's not the best fit for what he's trying to accomplish. I'll trust our Coaching Staff over the good folks on this message board, no offense.
On the other hand, which roster is more talented?Good numbers, but consider that Kansas does play in the Big 12, where defense is a foreign word.
Like the polecat and sweeps?
