Pretty sure its clear he's the problem and not mississippi state.I know he was frustrating as hell, but I do hate this because 1. you could see the potential, so I had at least a little hope that he would play to that next year; and 2. it doesn't help the perception for our program if everyone jumps ship every single f'ing year, especially high profile players like him.
The username made me laugh hystericallyPretty sure its clear he's the problem and not mississippi state.
Unless you are suggesting florida looks bad too?
Pulling for the guy all year as well to come out of his funk and never did consistently. Just a glimmer here and there. Disappointing for sure.I know he was frustrating as hell, but I do hate this because 1. you could see the potential, so I had at least a little hope that he would play to that next year; and 2. it doesn't help the perception for our program if everyone jumps ship every single f'ing year, especially high profile players like him.
Figured he'd like it as well! Might make him less likely to give me the boot! The username made me laugh hysterically
No, because they are in the Final 4. I think they have recovered just fine. I didn't say I wanted him to marry my daughter, but we were yet another 1 and done, disappointing finish, and seem to be hemorrhaging players at this point. I would prefer a highly talented guy stay and hope we can coach the lethargy out of him... see KeyShawn Murphy from last year.Pretty sure its clear he's the problem and not mississippi state.

Players leaving is happening everywhere if you haven't noticed. No, because they are in the Final 4. I think they have recovered just fine. Are you thinking our basketball program gets more attractive to possible recruits as more and more players (especially higher profile guys) leave? Surely not.
I just hope the bleeding stops soon.
Of course i don't think it gets more attractive, but our situation is pretty similar to 90% of college basketball as it pertains to transfers. No, because they are in the Final 4. He hasn't!Players leaving is happening everywhere if you haven't noticed.
Just looked at his 247 page, what a ride indeed. That was certainly an experience.
Would imagine that he was encouraged to do soThat was certainly an experience.
He was frustrating as 17 to watch in some games, but if he was mediocre, what is the rest of the team?Ever wonder why NIL info isn't made public? Because I'm pretty sure that we'd all be sick to find out how much a guy like this got from us to play mediocre to less than mediocre ball for a year
What was the rest of the team? Aside from Hubbard and Murphy, a disappointment, so I don’t know how comparing Kugel to a bunch of guys that didn’t live up to their star rating or NIL money really tells you anything. He was frustrating as 17 to watch in some games, but if he was mediocre, what is the rest of the team?
- he was basically tied for 3rd in scoring per game, had the 2nd most steals per game, had the 3rd best shooting % from deep, 5th in rebounds per game, 5th in assist per game.
He was in the top 5 in a bunch of categories on a team that was ranked for most of the season and got an at large invite to the NCAA Tournament.
How is that mediocre play?...it definitely isnt less than mediocre play.
There was an info-graphic making the rounds early in the tournament showing each team and where their starting 5 played the year before. I think every team except Purdue was at least 2 or 3 /5 portal guys.Players leaving is happening everywhere if you haven't noticed.
No it wouldn'tCollege athletics would be more fun if everyone got thrown into a bucket and there was a yearly draft of all players.
he was an underachieving lazy POS. BYEHe was frustrating as 17 to watch in some games, but if he was mediocre, what is the rest of the team?

I don’t think he was hungoverhe looked hungover in some of our games. but amazing in others.
It's not similar to 90%. We are tied with Vanderbilt with the most outbound transfers in the SEC with 7.Of course i don't think it gets more attractive, but our situation is pretty similar to 90% of college basketball as it pertains to transfers.
A guy like Kugel isn't gonna get it (most likely) if he hasn't by now.
Oh ok, we're fine then**Players leaving is happening everywhere if you haven't noticed.
That’s one year. Let’s do see who is second and 3rd and 4th this year and how many? It's not similar to 90%. We are tied with Vanderbilt with the most outbound transfers in the SEC with 7.
I didn't think Murphy was gonna get it last year either.
I wonder what those teams have in common. Maybe a really good end to their respective season vs our collapse of a season?Oh ok, we're fine then**
Bama has 1.
Arky 3
AU 0
UF 0
UGA 3
UK 1
LSU 5 outbound, but already took one of ours and got an inbound from UConn.
Mizz 1.
I could go on, but maybe that's enough.
7 outbound transfers is more than most teams. And even if 7 was 'similar to 90% of other teams', I wouldn't like it.
