Saturday (2/8) was the birthday of the late, great, Danny Wayland Seals. He was part of the duo England Dan & John Ford Coley. Interestingly, he also was the younger brother of Jim Seals, of Seals and Crofts. And after England Dan & John Ford Coley ended, he had a very successful career in country music as Dan Seals. Saturday (2/8) is the birthday of Tom Rush. To celebrate:

It's hard for me to believe, but I have seen Tom Rush (one of my absolute favorites) live in concert in each of the past SIX decades, starting with the 1960's. I could listen to Rockport Sunday/No Regrets "forever". He is one of the best "classic folk guitar" players on the planet earth.

One of my favorites. Was so happy that I saw it played live in Hershey on Reality Tour. Was right at his feet in Row 1 and pics of me and my son were on Bowie.net for awhile. Son shook his hand at end of the night.

Yes. I was a bit further back, bought scalped tix right as the show started. BY FAR one of the best concerts I've ever seen in my life. Station to Station was epic. But this song got stuck right in my head.

Both of those amazing guitar players, so high in the mix for so many great songs. We're so lucky we saw this.

The Stereophonics opened that night and were spectacular.

By any chance, did you see the show at the Tower to support Heathen release. It was during the last leg of the tour when he did just 5 shows in NYC, 1 in Boston, and the 1 at the Tower. I saw just about every show post Ziggy other than the David Live week at the Tower. My rankings would be the Station to Station Spectrum shows, the Heathen Tower show, and the Reality Atlantic City shows (just because we had a great group of people attending those shows).

No, just lucky I got to see the man that one time. It was hit after hit and crazy deep songs. Just a random night on tour and head and shoulders above everyone else.
