Touchdown or not? I thought he was bobbling the ball especially when I got home and watched it on TV. I didn't think there surely was enough evidence to overturn.

We watched it at home over and over....very clearly not a touchdown. It was bouncing between his elbows when he went out of bounds.

To me it was clear he bobbled it, but it was close and had it been called a TD on the field I would have understand maybe letting it stand.

But I have no freakin idea what they saw that was clear enough to overturn the call on the field.

it was incomplete. The TV angles seemed to show that the ball hit his chest and that he most likely didnt have possesion so how the replay officials could overturn based on what I saw is complete bulls***

They only showed that angle one time and it looked like he trapped the ball on his thigh out of bounds. There was no conclusive evidence to overturn the call.

Something like "bobbling - no way they can ovverride that one."

Needless to say, I was stunned about 15 seconds later. That's the other part. I've seen them watch replays for 15 minutes to make sure Bama gets a spot of 2nd and 2 instead of 2nd and 3 in 45-0 game in the third quarter, but on this play, they watched for about 30 seconds and called it a touchdown.

Was watching with my Dad who went to Bama, and my Brother who went to Ole Miss. They both said "no way that's a TD". I just said, "we are M-State, don't worry it'll be overturned for a touch down".

Where did that crew come from? It appeared we also got some pretty bad spots during the game, and the flop the kicker made for the personal foul was pretty humorous.

Referee: Tom Ritter • Umpire: Casey Moreland • Linesman: Johnny Crawford • Line judge: Tim Beard • Back judge: John Wright • Field judge: Andy Britton • Side judge: Chuck Russ • Scorer: Scott Walters •

I know Tom Ritter is an SEC guy.

Maybe the replay refs didn't get to see that one. That's the only explanation that I can think of.

I thought he caught the ball on the sidelines, took a step or two forward, then got drilled. The ref ruled no-catch. I thought it wasn't even close - shoulda been a catch. There was no replay in the stadium.

I initially thought the same thing Flab, and after the replay I thought there might have been a case, but Ballard pounding the ground in disgust and frustration told me that even he didn't think he caught it. Granted, what he thought and what the tape shows could be two different things.
