I think all the negative Nancy's are the ones that got ahead basking in the glory of our failure. They keep constantly telling us I told you so when we lose and not to get excited when we win. I think they call that a no lose situation. Always right in their minds.

One thing I've come to accept as a Gamecock fan is that enjoying success is not often in the cards. As soon as we start to have a little fun and enjoy the success., we'll lose to Missouri.

How we got to where we are is definitely worth considering. I'm very glad we're 5-2, but I'm aware of who we have beaten to get to this point. However, nobody put an asterisk by our game last year b/c we were playing a coach at QB.

Totally agree. I'm not placing an asterisk either. Just don't believe we've suddenly become one of the "wunderkind teams of college football" at this point based on our actual resume, QB production, inconsistency on both sides, and the fact we got beaten pretty badly by good SEC teams at full strength.

I'm optimistic about the team. However, the last thing we need pie-in-the-sky reporting and non-conference stat stuffing that keeps a coaching staff in place far beyond reason.(ref. Will Muschamp)

I just hope fans show up loud and rowdy for Mizzou like they did A&M and don't just assume we're gonna coast to a win. This will be a tight contest.

I was...and still am negative about the path taken the last two years...because I don't believe in it. BUT...I am happy as h#ll we are winning. Part of the negativity from me (at least) was the offensive direction, and choices Beamer made bringing in Satterfield and also not bringing Air Raid with him despite having tons of coach connections for that offense. My second hope was a Chadwell type system...something that could give us an edge because I am certain trying to go a "pro style" route like Bama, GA, LSU have done the last 10-15 years is pointless since we will always be behind them in recruits/players. I think UT has shown AR still works in the SEC at an elite level.
With all that said...I do hope we keep beating the teams we "should" beat, and hopeful we keep getting these semi-dumpster fire teams like we saw in UF last year, and A&M this year. We need all those games won we can get as we continue to win with Special Teams, timely defense and some glue and spit thrown in there.
