Wonderful win against a more talent-laden team, but one that is directionless because of poor coaching.

I actually feel good about the next couple of games - not because they are slam dunks, but I actually trust in the coaching staff to have USC pumped up and ready. And a ready USC team should be favored in both.

(all that said, USC needs a real OC)

You must not understand Gamecock football : We beat teams we have no business beating and lose to teams we have no business losing to.

That was a crazy ending. First of all, take the 3 points and go up 33-21. Game over with under 50 seconds left.

It was insane that A&M even had a long shot chance with 9 seconds left.

I need some sleep but I’ll enjoy it tomorrow.
Yep - Too conservative. If Marshawn had cut inside, he would have gotten the 1st down and not stopped the clock. Lots to coach there. WE could have done the kneel thing at the 2 yd line and rubbed it a little. Instead of dreading the worst possible thing to occur. If you weren't thinking they could come back and win you aren't a Gamecock Fan. We have seen it all.

Yeppers. Gamecocks have snatched defeat out of the jaws of victory many, many, many, many, many times.

When you have a nine point lead with 45 seconds left and your opponent pinned inside their own 10 yard line, the outcome should be a formality. It was totally bizarre that they even had a hope with nine seconds left. But, it wouldn’t be gamecock football if we didn’t make things interesting.

I guess it’s a testament to Shane that we’re winning these games though. The last two games are games that we don’t win last year or the year before. Winning games you don’t have any business winning are part of the rebuilding process.

One thing we do lack is killer instinct. This is two games in a row where we’ve come out on fire and had our opponent on the ropes from the outset. But we just can’t put it away and end up stalling out making a game out of it. That’s just something tha has to be learned. You have to recruit players with that kind of mindset.

Ironic that following an SEC win for us has finally led me to buy a ticket on the the get-rid-of-Satterfield train. Our program can't achieve the best it
can be with his hand on the tiller. Whoever we get as a replacement needs to give us a core identity schematically and provide some in-game ability
to change depending on game circumstances. And that coach needs be experienced enough to assist and guide our HC with game time decisions and adjustments. I don't know how we arrive at some of the decisions we make.

The Vanderbilt….yes, Vanderbilt game scares me. It would be such a Carolina thing to do to let the Commies beat us & end their 20+ game conference losing streak. They’re not as bad as some of the past Vandy teams.

We should now get to seven wins, but the offensive approach has reached its full potential and Rattler is not a rainmaker. We'll have to make some changes to move any higher going forward. The upside of what we're doing offensively isn't high enough.
It is just not Rattler. The cause is Satterfield and the symptom is Rattler.
