Matt Wyatt pretty much said it all …

Lsu players and coaches were quoted as saying they watched Matt Wyatt’s film study on the bus ride over and it helped them know the routes better than the team running the plays. South Carolina will also use his film study in preparation. Miss State should copyright him for double dipping between YouTube and Lear field

There is plenty of blame to go around, but I eould lay 90% of it on Barbay and Friend. That OL sucks. You can not succeed without good OL play.
We are just plain weak on the OL and the DL. Not all Barbay’s fault. Apparently, we are behind in NIL. That seems to be the problem.

I’m sorry, but if they are learning things from our color commentator’s film study…. They should be embarrassed. I certainly wouldn’t admit it if I was a coach.

Matt's a Will Roger's apologist. Yes, our weak OL got exposed today, by the best defensive front in college football. .
We have an immobile QB who, in spite of what Matt or any of you yo-yo's think, is just NOT an accurate thrower.
Today most all of his completions - when he had them -- were plain luck and required his receivers to come back to the ball, slow down, and bend over backwards.
I don't care how great a kid he is and how much Leach loved him, he's a fourth year player with a hell of a lot of game experience who is no better than he was as a freshman.
Today his decision making (which is usually pretty good as a result of his vast limitations) was even worse than his throwing.
The deal is: he may well be the best option we have at this point.

Maybe he will get better and win us at least two SEC games before the end of the year.

Someone should tell Matt Wyatt that DoggieDaddy disagrees with him. That will show him.

There is not one personnel group that is as good as it was last year. Did anybody see a PBU today ? Jett and Bookie and Tulu played pretty well. Other than that ? Running yardage terrible. It was all one play. Passing game was trash. DB. DL and OL are worse. Not good and not gonna get better any time soon

With the possible exception of Special Teams, it’s hard to disagree.

Spot on my man!

Listen to Matt's daily show and you'd swear Will is his son. He will make more excuses on Will's behalf and blame every other player.

There were several instances where we didn’t appear to know the routes. But every team has our film and a staff of 25-40 guys. No one is seriously gaining an advantage from Wyatt breaking down 10 plays.

Y’all want to know why we are not and never will be competitive in football?
1. Larry Templeton sold us out for years as everyones homecoming guaranteed win. We are thirty years behind the programs that cared about football and we will likely never catch up.
2. We‘ve got a college football monster 80 miles east of us that can cherry pick players on our own doorstep continuously leaving us at a talent disadvantage.
3. To the southwest, southeast, and northwest of us we probably have the three most crooked, lying, cheating college programs in the nation that are buying players out from under us leaving us at a talent disadvantage.
4. We have a historically apathetic fan base that doesn’t support the program financially to the level that neighbor programs are supported.

No. 4 there are several reasons. We have only ONE time in modern times sniffed a national championship in football. Thus we are like Vandy that nobody can get totally excited about the program and give tons of money to it. Does anybody give money just to see squandered away by inept coaches and administration.

The other sec teams have all won national championships in modern era football. Also the one to the southwest LSU is the ONLY school in that state. They have proven how important the football program is to them they took stolen money from a children’s hospital. Let that sink in for a moment.

I totally agree. 5th and 6th year guys all over the field. With multiple years starting in the SEC. SHOULD be an easy group to coach I would think.

No other sec teams radio announcer is making film study videos for the opposing teams
Dude, if you think Wyatt's film study is more comprehensive than their own, I got a unicorn in a castle on an island in the desert to sell you for the low price of $1000.00

The HC of MSU says this ain't true.

"He wasn’t getting a whole lot of protection. We did not hold up to their pass rush. Too many guys getting through. It’s not very fun playing quarterback when you have a pocket collapsing on you."

Now he missed some throws. But he also put it on a dime to the TE Harmon who dropped a TD pass

Yes, Wyatt’s film study is just convenient. Yes, the opposing team has film study guys, but they don’t post them on YouTube. All of the opposing teams players have the YouTube app on their phone. So it’s very convenient for them to get a refresher using the YouTube app on their phone on their way to the game.

Weak???? These and 5th and 6th year players!

Talent and strength have nothing to do with this. Ya'll said the same bullshlt during Croom and Moorhead.

YEP!

This is pretty much the same team as last year and we suck right now.

The sideline reporter yesterday said something intresting. She said that Will Rogers had told her that he had a very hard time learning the new playbook. If he couldn't learn it then how about our many Mississippi public school graduates on the field?

We had the same problem with Moorehead. The offense was just too complex for our players.

OL players are the most important players at the high $ schools. Without great line play you can have the best QB in the country and they will look like 2 stars. Look at what Daniels did to us with no pass rush. He didn't have that luxury at FSU because they had a defense.

And Croom. Seems to be a theme.

It’s seems pretty obvious the OL and WR is confused. The offense install didn’t finish before the season. Most of our problems are coaching. Of course we aren’t as talented as LSU. When we don’t execute on top of that we get embarrassed. Barbay has a lot of work to do if we are going to get anywhere close to our potential.

The sad part is we seem to be getting worse not better. I expect another thrashing next week at USC after watching them go toe to toe with UGA in Athens. The announcers said USC would turn the corner next week like they did last year. Quoting Animal House, "Assume the position!"

Cole Cubic said when he was at the barn they changed from a pass based to run based offensive scheme. He said it took a full year to get comfortable in the new blocking scheme.
