Yes. His players graduated. Iverson was first (or second) of his players to leave school early, pretty much. Ewing, Mourning, and Mutumbo each stayed four years. He had rules: no new tattoos, suits on road trips, no jewelry. Quite a few players washed out at Georgetown, couldn’t handle the academics. (Other than because of road trips, Ewing missed zero classes in his four years at Georgetown. That speaks more to Ewing than Thompson, but whatever.) One of my favorite Thompson stories: one of his players goes to JT and complains that he thinks one of his professors is racist. “Well, what are you going to do about it?”
