We may not win another game. While we knew it would be bad, this is inexcusably bad. At least we are in play to upgrade talent with recruiting. But it’s hard to imagine a team being worse than we are. It’s a miracle we beat Kentucky at Rupp.

Nothing good can be said about this team.
Probably the worst in the history of the University.
Paris won't be around long if something doesn't change.

Not defending Paris, but it’s 3 on 5 every game. Our bigs can’t score at all; they’re effectively non-existent on offense.

Good luck convincing real quality talent to join this bunch.

This team is about on par with those Newton teams. Currently sitting at 8 wins. Looking at the schedule and with the way this team is playing, I'm not seeing where another win will come from.

It may or not be THE worst, but it's in the handful of worst teams, no question.

Those Newton teams were horrific, but what makes me believe they were better than this year's monstrosity are:

1-the eye test; they actually tried to play some defense & in general, just looked better at basketball
2-the blowout losses; they didn't get run out of the gym as often as this current group does

not even close... Steve Newton.
No we are worse now.

Newton won 3 and 5 games in the SEC in two years. How are we getting to 5 SEC wins?

Newton had one 40 point loss in two years and that was against UNC. Paris has two 40 pt losses thee 20 point losses in 16 games.

Newton had 13 losses of 5 or less. Under Paris we are 11 points from being 4-16.

We are far worse now.

The Carolina Mens basketball team needs to take do some soul searching. Go back to the drawing board, figure out what’s wrong and come up with a plan to fix it.

If we finish 8-23 (1-17), is that enough to warrant firing Paris after one season?

Yes.

I actually feel bad for the man. In a lot of ways, it isn't his fault. Can't blame him for accepting big money & a power 5 gig. He's not a power 5 caliber coach, though, so the buffoon that hired him is more to blame. Lamont Paris will be bounced from here very quickly if the job is based on performance. The poor guy never had a chance, as he is not a power 5 caliber coach.

Come selection time, that UK game is a quality quad 1 win.

How bad is that loss going to look on UK's resume?:cautious:

Not only the worst SC team but might be one of the worst SEC teams I can remember since Carolina joined the league.

Here is one issue for sure- look at the shooting %'s from the floor not that his free through shooting is anything to marvel at. The top line will not move over to align with the numbers below -- season avg is now down to 16.1 - while averaging 33.2 min of playing time per game.

Refereeing was very questionable! Still felt we had a chance to win it , but we just don’t have it. I question some of those 3 pointers way past the line.

Agree about some bad calls late in the game - all seemed to go against us. 1:53 or so left, looked like the ball clearly went out of bounds on UGA. Gray and Johnson were calling for a review - no such thing. Georgia ball. I still don`t understand the charging rule about the "circle" when the guy ran over G.G. If that was the correct call then the rule stinks.

It was off of Georgia but you can't review unless it's under two minutes.
