Watching the game last night I thought "How can you root for Michigan as they have all transfer starters? 'They bought their championship.
Then I thought "Wait Seton Hall also had all transfer starters this year and we rooted from them!"
Obviously,two very different outcomes.

As has been discussed at length here already, the biggest difference between Seton Hall and a big time team like Michigan is $$$

A hook and hold as, done last night is a T, and a 2 handed push landing someone on the floor is a normal foul. Hmmm. The flagrant 1 was sure a killer for uconn. I think UM was just too big and strong and the NJ PG was tough to handle. Uconn needed to shoot threes well cause UM is balanced enough to win while making 2 three pointers all game.

Big difference between our $5-$6M (I think it was less than $6) and their $10-$12M. I heard they spent $12 but who knows with this stuff. So glad we have a GM who might know much more and can give our staff some guidance. I wish we could develop a pipeline to get a few Euros to SHU. A NY area school might be appealing to some young skilled basketball players who want to earn some cash as long as we could get around the VISA issues.

That # makes sense but it's not going to get it done if our goal is to compete for Big East Championships and deep runs into the NCAAT.

Will be interesting to see the impact this year on transfers given the recent Executive Order. My sense is that the schools will not pay attention until their federal funds have been stopped

If a level playing field as it regards player payment budgets isn't established, monitored and enforced eventually we'll see the end of the BE as the smaller private schools can't compete with the major state universities from a funding perspective.

Give them a Visa card and you’ll get all the best players!!

Michigan spent big money but good money on that team

But I think it’s a touch naive to say the only difference between the university of Michigan and seton hall is nil money

We also don’t know other benefits offered to the players. For instance Kadary got a lot more benefits in addition to his NIL.
