USC’s “Conquest,” by a frickin’ mile. They play it repeatedly throughout each game, even in games where they are getting their *** kicked. That song neatly encapsulates the smugness, arrogance and general douchebaggery that characterizes the Trojans.

ANY NHL team that needs to have a horn blow to fire up the crowd - Canes, Caps, Pens, many others all do it - is annoying and lame.

Love the Garden Faithful with the "Lets GO RANGERS!!!" chants on their own (no horn blow required!), and ON THE ROAD!!! And of course, Potvin always SUCKS!
I’m an Islanders fan. First off, I always loved the passion of the Rangers fans. Especially back when the blue seat fans were a real thing. Second, I love the “Potvin sucks” chant because I like that direct attacking fandom and because it shows how much Potvin is still in the heads of Rangers fans 43 years after the clean check.

Iowa's "wave to the kids" thingy and all the associated teary-eyed bluster is the most cloying stadium routine in college sports. Virtue signaling at its finest.
It only makes sense when you keep in mind that the inbred dimwits in Iwer wave bye bye to their turds after they flush. If you actually flush an outhouse.

LOL! The passion and Potvin living in our heads is off the charts. Expat Ranger fans in Carolina, TB, Dallas, etc. are good for at least two whistling "Potvin sucks!" chants per game.

FWIW the Trouba hit on Crosby in last year SC playoffs was similarly...clean! 😎

Miss the true Blue seats and the fans that occupied them...sometimes we sneak in though! 😉

It has been a long time but I still remember when Penn State played FSU in the first Blockbuster Bowl. I had been aware of the chant and chop (especially living in Atlanta, as the Braves used it - made me dislike the Braves too) but I remember hearing that thing all during the game. Very annoying. Penn State getting clobbered in the game didn't help either.
Some of the worst 3 hours of my youth.

That Penguins air horn thing they have going on. Never really noticed it until this year.
On the other side of the coin, I love the Rangers fans “Potvin sucks!” chant.
Wasn’t it “Beat your wife, Potvin, beat your wife?”

The best chant was ‘1940…..1940…..’.

Damn Vancouver Canucks in 1994. No Canadian team has won a Stanley Cup since then. Serves Canada right! ;)

Only time I went to Rangers-Isles game was a preseason game, probably about ‘88 in my mid-teens. I won the tickets on the Dave Sims show on 660 WNBC. I was legitimately a little afraid heading up to our seats in the blue seats with my older brother. Finally I felt a little relieved when I saw a guy walking towards us with an Islanders shirt making me feel like we weren’t alone. As he passed I looked back at him and the back of his Islanders shirt had a number 5 on it with “WIFEBEATER” across the shoulders. Funny as hell, and typical of Rangers fans from that era.

Wait, you don't think a successful readjustment of someone's shoulder pads calls for a few rousing bars from "Conquest?" What about when they call a time out? Surely that's a good reason to put two fingers in the air and play the same 8-10 measures of music for the umpteenth time. Seriously, if this would have been on the list, it would have gotten my vote.
It was redundant to UM incessantly playing HTTV.

Can we include WVU burning couches after every WVU win? Or a loss? or during half-time? Or at the beginning of the school year, the end of the school year? On Christmas morning?, after finally getting laid with a cousin???.......

Is it Michigan that has a "key play" where people in the stands fish their keys out of their pocket and shake them?

It's annoying.
It is annoying but I've seen a bunch of schools do it. I think PU was doing it in our game and I've seen RU do it. 🤷‍♂️

Go to the BJC for PSU's annual wrestling match, and most everyone will start to hate the "We Are" cheer. It's incessant, and doesn't relate to anything that's happening on the mat.

The mike man tried to get the PSU students to do that a few times in the early 80's with little success. It seemed dumb then just as it does now.

I don't even remember them having a Mike Man in the early 80's. 🤷‍♂️
But yes it would have been dumb then and it is now.

Oh yes. PSU had one of the male cheerleaders being the "Mike Man" at least in the late '80's and he got annoying very quickly, especially when you were trying to watch the game and he kept talking over everything with "Let's make noise"!! or starting the "we are' chant, over and over again.

I'm with you there. A guy in one corner of the arena does it and a few people follow along. Fifteen seconds later someone in another corner of the arena does it because they want their time in the spotlight too. A smaller number of people follow along. Fifteen seconds later someone in another corner of the arena does it. By then almost everyone realizes it's overkill and absolutely nobody responds. Five or ten minutes later the cycle repeats.

At one time, it was a position separate that one had to try out for, similar to the Nittany Lion mascot. I guy from my home town that worked at the same fast food place I did was one of the last mike men. The male cheerleaders were expected to have some gymnastics skills, be able to lift the females cheerleaders, etc; the mike men did none of that.

But... I'm going with a write in: USC playing snippets of their fight song after almost anything positive happening....from a routine 3 yard carry to, seemingly, successful readjustment of someone's shoulder pads.
That’s my write-in as well. I thought of it the moment I saw this poll. SOOO obnoxious, and the thought of hearing it is my least favorite aspect of the USC/UCLA impending addition to the conference.

Sorry if this has already been posted.
Living in Ohiya, too many times I see the arm/hand gestures for spelling out the state’s name.
I often ask what the fascination is The Village People. 🤷🏻‍♂️
That’s not appreciated. 😁

This may not rise to the level of the routines already mentioned. But I don't get OSU's "clap routine", led by the head coach. I don't know if Urban brought this to OSU or if it predated him. But Day continues this "tradition". I have always thought it looks odd for a football coach to, in essence, be leading a cheer. .
Speaking of OSU, not a fan thing, but the players' synchronized arm swinging prior to kickoffs irritates me.
