I would be a tiny bit more Allright with no wait transfer if they weren't allowed in conference. Murphy can go to Wichita state.

Kind of figured we were losing somebody big and good since we got a similar player from Wichita St.

War Eagle, Murph. No more One & Jans.

You might at least be playing in the round of 32 next year.

Remember that hypothetical about being a farm team for the SEC? Not so hypothetical.
We really haven’t lost many in basketball that we have truly wanted to keep. Murph is the most significant by far.

Bama lost several contributors this year—players that would have been key pieces next year. This sh*t happens to everyone.

Wish him the best but with the other guys they bring in I'm not convinced he is a starter all next season

it's almost like JWS was right: go for the 2, 3 and 4 star players and ignore the 5-stars and the baggage they bring to the table.
We don’t ignore the 5 stars. We don’t land them. That strategy worked when you didn’t have scouting services and the big boys didn’t bother to come watch players in Nowhereville, MS.

Now that unranked or lower 3 star guy that chooses MSU over South Alabama, Memphis, or Mississippi Southern is just going to leave for a blue blood when he blows up here. This has nothing to do with 5 star baggage. You have given every D1 athlete the opportunity to go wherever the hell they want each and every year. That’s 4 or 5 years of crootin visits, swag, special treatment, attention and ego massage. Of course a lot of these guys are going to jump ship on a whim
