My sad tale of banishment from the old board...I've been cancelled...

“people on my side” and “people on the other end”?Between reading posts and writing responses, I probably spent on average 90 minutes a day there. But two days into my cancellation, I honestly don't miss either board. I sure as hell am not going to gin myself up another handle to get around the ban.
On the Test Board, I found the most interesting exchanges and occasional differences of opinion on politics, religion and culture to be with people on "my side."
The stuff with people on the other end of the spectrum had long since gotten tiresome, circular, and repetitive...yet was also reflective of the current reality of our country where we've given up attempts at reason or persuasion and have instead taken to pasting labels on each other even as those in positions of authority now simply cancel viewpoints with which they disagree.
But there were some intelligent and good people there, and I wish them all well...whatever their politics. If I had known that I was going to be summarily and suddenly cancelled, I would have first written a farewell speech for the ages...

Jerry has made it quite clear he is in this to feed his ego with clicks and likes. I am on this board for other reasons. Ignore is such a useful option.

Start another Yahoo Mail or Gmail account make a new account and log back in with a different user name back on the test board site. It's time to go home.

"Rutgers people" being mean and calling PSUers names during a scandal has absolutely nothing to do with a particular Rutgers grad operating a PSU recruiting site. Zero. Nada. Zilch. Your logic, applied back on us, could be used by a Rutgers grad to say that, because there was a PSU pedo scandal, with a cover-up, that every PSU grad participates in, covers up or otherwise approves of such pedo actions. And, of course, that's absurd and a horrifying abuse of logic.

But Jerry got banned from that site based on merit. No indication it was evil Rutgers grads out to get PSUers.

That guy (the Dick) running the other board IS one of those random a-hole posters. In fact, he is a leader of the random a-hole posters and now he is running a Penn State board as well. Exactly. I posted a link to Tyler Donahue's LinkedIn earlier in this thread. He does a great job covering PSU for 247 and happens to be a Rutgers Grad, former Rutgers Recruiting and Operations assistant, then wrote for Rutgers Newspaper. How many of our FB coaches are PSU grads? Smh

Just for the record, my beef with Little Richard Fauntleroy is not that he's a Rutgers guy, though the inferiority complex that attends such a state in life may have played a role in my banning, but rather that his actions reveal him to be a jerkwad.
Even so, just to update everyone on this gripping saga: I have communicated my demands. I want a public apology posted on both the sports and politics boards. I want all my likes restored...and 500 bonus likes added for the inconvenience and emotional distress I've experienced...and I want three posters of my choice banned.
Otherwise, I'm not going back there...no matter how much they beg...

I’m not a Board Certified Psychiatrist, but I seriously believe that you should seek help for your victim psychosis syndrome, your delusion’s of grandeur and craving need for attention.
I'm living on Earth ... how about yourself? Somewhere different? Yes, I'm aware that SOME folks did, in fact, say that stuff. That's the point. Some. Just like some folks affiliated with PSU may or may not have committed pedo acts, swept pedo acts under the rug, or not done enough to combat such acts from continuing, that doesn't mean ALL PSU folks should be painted with the same broad brush, just like there's no reason to condemn all of the Rutgers faithful (and, really, how many of them are there? It's Rutgers, after all) for the sins of some of their supporters.
Now, if there's some direct evidence of this Snyderite (sp?) guy actively promoting anti-PSU propaganda, and saying he's going to take down PSU football ... then, yeah, that's relevant. My OP told what I thought was an interesting and even useful story. I mean, judging from the response, many found it interesting.
Nevertheless, people lined up to take a bunch of gratuitous shots and, in effect, defend Lord Richard, which is ironic to say the least.
I answered with some trolling. Heads exploded. Hyenas snarled. Life went on. I honestly found it all pretty entertaining and instructive. Therapeutic even.
In any case, if you're gonna take shots, you shouldn't get all indignant if you get a response...whatever the response may be.
Never mind, rumor is that if we get to 500 responses by New Year's Eve, I may have a chance to attain that mythical and ever elusive 2nd bonus point.
