My taste buds might be off but I'm not into Chic-filet.

SErioulsy the Home Depot here was pissed because the line was backed up an hour and taking their entrance away. Why wait on car for an hour for that yuck is beyond me. Wouldn’t do it for any place except a nice restaurant or busy Friday night somewhere
Seems like a queue of cars that long with their engines running for 20 minutes might be harmful for the environment!
Just saying 😩
Sort of like an environmental oxymoron 😎

KFC is hands down, to me, the best fried chicken. Thru the years I've tried Wendy's and Mcd's and they are both better as well. In my humble opinion. My kids love the chicken nuggets from Chik filet. I don't get it, but I do think they have marketed well.

You are definitely in the minority in that opinion. KFC is going under and Chic-FilA has become the number 1 fast food chain for a reason. As I type this my mouth literally started watering.

Thanks for starting this thread......I always marvel at the displays of arrogance that follow when we talk food choices.

My version of Popeye's for sousvideverything, with chicken thighs (I make a slightly different version of the sauce)
I’m a huge sous vide fan. I’ve been wanting to try replicate a chick FIL a sandwich, but the frying is an issue. Don’t get me wrong, I love fried food, but hate dealing with the mess.

Even first class sit down restaurants can be tricky. You might avoid the additives of fast food but they amp the taste by adding obscene amounts of fat, butter and salt. Cooking at home means you can control the ingredients to balance taste and health.

In the past some fast food companies used cells from aborted fetuses to enhance the flavor of their product.

Currently, I don’t know if it’s illegal or not.
anyway, I don’t see fetus cells as an ingredient in their product.

The only reason I survived 2020 was my Fry Papi, bought on a whim when my Dad asked for one for X-mas 2019. Too bad it doesn't like peanut oil or I could maybe never leave my house again, which would be a win-win for everyone.

I didn’t know the Air friers were limited to certain oils.

Chick fil a spicy chicken deluxe. We also have a place near us called PDQ which has decent fast food and an excellent spicy chicken sandwich. I think it’s better than chick fil a.

Anybody down for the outback bowl, PDQ is great, along with Zaxby's.
Thanks, I'll text this to my kids and grandkids going to the game. Should make a great meal for them while they're watching the Friday night games in their BNB in Tampa.

My kids love these. I also get aldis naan bread a lot and let them make their own pizzas with it. It’s pretty good. Also, aldi has this really good popcorn they put out in the fall.
The past few months my brother in law asked my wife and me to do some shopping at Aldis for him, because he was recovering from a few colostomy procedures. Never been in the Aldi's store before, saw that they had Amorosa hoagie rolls. 😛

Yes they do! And their ciabatta rolls are good! Also they have Hawaiian rolls. My kids like ham (I do not) and like ham and cheese in the oven on Hawaiian rolls. Easy and cheap

For you to know all of this, I can't imagine your normal diet.
Actually I cook most of our meals and they are fairly healthy and varied. Right now the only fast food items I eat are mcd's sausage egg mcmuffins (very rarely) and Popeyes chicken. There aren't any convenient Popeyes near me, so that is pretty rare as well.

Pretty much the only one I have had in the last few months is the Aldi's chicken.

Here is a great sauce if you are making the Aldi's chicken in an air fryer....
approximate amounts, I never measure... 7 parts mayo, 2 parts ABC Chili Sauce, and 1 part ABC Sweet Soy Sauce

I don’t know if you are serious or not, but these articles say that is a false claim.

My Senior and I did a NC college tour in November and had a chicken sandwich each day.
The order of best to worst:
Bojangles
Top of the Hill - UNC - Chapel Hill
Zaxby’s (too wet and not crunchy enough)

Taco John's beats Taco Bell.
Man, we were talking about that on our drive home. Wife’s family loves that place. I’ve had it a couple of times and I find it to be a definite tier below Taco Bell. And who the hell serves tots with tacos?
