Bio on the ISU website says he battled some injuries in 2024 but looks like possibly a really good pickup:

Made his 2024 season debut going 6.0 innings allowing four hits while striking out nine against UConn on February 17 … Went 5.2 innings allowing four hits and two runs (one earned) while striking out 11 against Marshall … Went 5.1 innings allowing three hits and a run while striking out 11 at Southern Miss on March 1 … Went 4.2 innings in relief allowing six hits and three runs while striking out two at Kentucky on June 2 … Went 3.0 innings allowing four hits and a run while striking out five against Evansville on May 10 …

It looks like he was their Friday night guy before injury sidetracked him for 4-6 weeks.

Holcombe probably needs a change of scenery.

It would be the most Mississippi State thing ever if Holcombe, Cerantola, KC Hunt, & Andrew Walling to all figure it out in the minors and end up in Major League Baseball.

If he's anything like our last Indiana college portal pitcher, we're gonna like him (unless you're more into hating Lemonis than liking MSU).

What do those guys say about people they think suck? "Well, lemonhead just added this bum from east Choctaw school of arts"
True. But I really do think he can be a productive player for us. He had good starts vs UConn & USM (2 pretty good teams) before he got hurt, and pitched for a better team than we were.
