Part of what's happening is about adding offense; the other part is in speeding up our most beautiful and historic game through manipulation. I can see limiting mound visits; I can even see the pitch clock. But messing with how the actual game is played is a travesty.
The pitch clock and limiting mound visits and throw overs are stupid. All to save 20 minutes. Ridiculous. To me, that's a part of the game. Was talking to my wife about it last night. That's what makes it so fun to go to a game. You have time to get a hot dog, a cold beverage, go to the bathroom...you can just simply enjoy your time at a game. It's not the same for football or basketball. It's what makes baseball unique. There is no time. It just goes until there's 27 outs (or more, who knows).

Ok, then. You convinced me. No pitch clock, no limit on throwovers. Leave the game alone. Put the base size back like it was also.

"Back in the day" pitchers worked quickly, and batters didn't adjust everything after each pitch.

How about banning batting gloves?

That's one reason I'm not opposed to the clock.
Pitchers + rhythm = good thing.

I actually thought that would be first.
They did that with the clock. The batter has 8 seconds once the clock starts to be in the box and ready or he gets a strike. We had our first casualty of that on day one…can’t remember his name. Struck out bc he took to long.

Yeah. They gave a strike to Jeff McNeil b/c Alonso took too much time going back to first after a foul ball. WTF?? It's insanity. I can't wait until a WS game is impacting this stupid clock nonsense.

Same with the batter in the box. I never stepped out of the box after a pitch. I wanted to stay dialed in. Of course, these guys are making $10-20M/yr and I'm...well...not.
That's a tough one being few batters are well balanced. Many batters momentum carries their body toward the plate when they finish. Maybe not prefered but not all that bad either imo. I mean if their momentum carries them anywhere, that's where you want it to go. At least you know their head is staying down and they're not pulling off the ball. Hard to keep some of those guys anywhere near the box. Lol.

Ok so the goal now seems to be to zap all the fun out of the game. This time obsession now has the ump of the MSU game not wanting teams out of the dugout when a player hits a HR. This is going too far

Pitch clock, limit of throws to 1st base, elimination of the drastic shift, enlarging the bases by 3 inches.

I am a traditionalist of the game, but I for one think this is a good thing.
Having to watch pitchers walk around, and all other delaying actions have left a lot a potential (younger) fans blase towards the game.
Illegal shift was an abomination. Horrible
Enlarging the bases to increase steals, Stealing a base had become a lost art lately. Leader of SB's last year was 41. Henderson and Brock used to average over a 100 a year. Looking forward to this as well.

I played from little league, thru HS, and American Legion and loved the game, but the game had become, even to this diehard somewhat dull.
What is the shift?

Edit: Never mind I just read the rule after I posted the question.
