I give her six months until she realizes what a dumpster fire she inherited and tags out of that circus.

No competent exec (and she’s highly accomplished) can fix that mess after all the damage Musk has done. I’ve wondered whether Musk is either filming a real-life Brewster’s Million documentary or angling for the biggest tax write-off in history.

Yeah, free speech is a real travesty, isn't it?

You forgot the part where they are close to break even. Also cut the workforce by 80%. They lost $225 mil the year before he bought them.
I haven't followed it at all- I think twitter is for morons. I was working on something and had the TV on in the background and just happened to hear about the advertisers.

Can’t wait to hear this answer.

Well, he removed verified status for accounts allowing for anyone willing to pay a subscription fee to be ‘verified’. So, if you wanted, you could pay the subscription fee and pretend to be James Franklin. Before accounts were actually ‘verified’ so you knew the tweets were authentic. He may be at ‘break even’ financially but it’s not sustainable with the shell of a workforce he has now. Morale is low, no one wants to work for him, and there are a lot of technical bugs with whatever algorithm they use. The ‘for you’ recommendations highly amplify the most extreme stuff I’ve ever seen on the platform (politics, violence). People are leaving (they were before Musk though). And Musk is not an arbiter of free speech as much as he’s a bullhorn for his sh*tlord trolling….that said, he’s not dumb. He’s just dishonest.

Accounts were “verified” yet information was suppressed. Much rather let readers determine what to believe than have information suppressed.

Truth is arbitrary. Sure, why not? I mean, your guys have the laptop now right? Goldmine right? Indictment soon?

Who is “your guys”? Since you are referencing this specific example we were told that the lap top didn’t exist. That’s why the story was suppressed.

Again, let the readers decide.

There’s free speech and then there’s the complete cesspool that is Twitter. One can’t build a viable ad business the way that Musk is running Twitter.
We will see. What we do know is that the previous owners couldn’t build a viable business with the way they suppressed what didn’t fit their agenda. They are closer to breakeven now vs. where they have been in a very long time. That’s a fact.

Musk did a great interview with Bill Maher. Suggest anyone watch it before making an opinion.

With a PSU grad at the helm I’m sure they will be in the black soon.

There is a disconnect between what Musk says versus what he does. Pay attention to the latter.

So it's a cesspool if conservatives are banned and censored?
It’s a cesspool on all levels and from all political angles. It’s just a mess of people screaming. Post-Musk, things are even worse.

No brand or advertiser can reasonably invest in building on Twitter. And that’s a problem that no competent CEO can solve unless Musk pulls a 180 on his vision.

Be specific. Provide examples. Can be said about anyone.

Well, you say let the people decide. Musk says to be trustworthy, Twitter must remain politically neutral. He then encourages his Twitter followers to vote Republican. I mean, it’s his toy and he can do what he wants, but he’s dishonest.

And today:

Ding, ding, ding. Musk is no better than the other platforms at this stuff. He just went scorched earth on his big advertisers. Smart!
