I agree with him, with one clarification. The trucks are a lease.

He's not wrong but I think there are more important things for a sitting US Senator to concern himself with than the state of college football.
While true, on the list of things they WILL concern themselves with this is probably more impactful. NIL or invading sovereign countries??

No end in sight to taxes funding every war and laundering the money back to politician pockets but I guess NIL is where we draw the line hahaha.

We can agree to disagree that’s not a one headed monster and only the legislator can regulate it.

How is he wrong? With what has transpired, how has it helped us?
How has it hurt us? We are no better or worse than before NIL. For the most part, same teams are winners and same teams are losers. We were stuck in mediocrity before and are in the same position after.

So nil and the transfer portal didn’t rob us of talent we could use right now?

Meh. Do I like the state of college football and where it's headed? No.

Do I think every problem needs a legislative solution? No. To borrow and modify an old line from Obama to fit a different situation, don't ever underestimate the federal government's ability to F things up. To use a metaphor, if FedEx and UPS are what we'd like to have, government involvement will probably give us the college football equivalent of the USPS.

If college football becomes less interesting enough, I'll stop watching it and move on to another passtime. That's the natural order of things. As much as I have loved it, there's nothing about college football that is essential for our country.

All I'm saying is that it hasn't helped or hurt us overall. We have won some and lost some when it comes to NIL and transfers.
Would Ratt and Juice have come back if not for NIL? I’m not so sure. Ratt is making more than the league min right now, I’m sure Juice is as well. Can you imagine this team without Ratt?

Cause he's in a business that doesn't care about you or us.
And I'm just as indifferent toward his ilk on a personal level. But understand, the issue we're really talking about, if it ever gets solved, will be solved by people like him, not people like us. Maybe he likes college sports. That would be great. I don't care whether he likes me or not.

Someone should ask him if we need reform when "servants" get elected to an $180K/yr job, spend half the year living in one of the most expensive places to live in the world, and come out multi-millionaires. How about we focus on that one instead of college kids getting a 6 month truck lease.
