he talks too damn much for my ears. Good TV color analysts learn how to make a salient point with as few words as possible.
Yea that is one of my biggest complaints about the color analysts. Romo wouldn't shup up either.

Grant: I was simply responding somewhat in kind to Sluggo's post, which suggested (somewhat comically, IMHO) that the Eagles are going to do to the Niners what they did to the Giants. I trust you would agree with me that there is a ginormous difference between the Niners and the Giants. The Eagles may possibly beat the Niners next weekend, but if I had to put money on it, I would bet on the Niners. The Niners and the Cowboys have the two best defenses in football this season. The Eagles are not far behind, and they have a very good OL. On offense, the Eagles' skill players (with the exception of QB) are not as good as the Niners' skill players. Hurts has been very good at QB this year, and he will present a real test for the Niners.

The debate here is interesting, and is part of what sports are about. We will see how it all works out next Sunday.
Sluggo's post was obvious hyperbole. If yours was too, it wasn't very obvious.
If you feel that confident, you should go make a bet SF because the guys in Vegas disagree with your assessment. You will be getting decent odds.
Like I said earlier. These two teams are very close, with the Eagles probably 1/2 point or so better with healthy Hurts and Johnson.
I would say overall, the skill position players are also comparable.
I would give the edge to the Eagles WRs, and edge to SF for TE and RB. Eagles QB is significantly better though.

I have no dog in this fight, but Brown/Smith/Sanders/Goedert v. Aiyuk/Samuel/McCaffrey/Kittle certainly isn't an obvious advantage to the 49ers. In fact, I'd say in this matchup, it's advantage Eagles, because the 49ers relative weakness is passing, and that's where the Eagles have the comparative skill position strength. Their defenses are essentially equal. Where Philly has the advantage is at QB, where the dual threat Hurts may help open up both the Eagles' "run," and pass.

Early Vegas line I see is Philly favored by 2.5 and Chiefs up by 1.
That's a weird line for the Chiefs game ... does Vegas really expect more pro-Chiefs action with a hobbled Mahomes up against a team that's owned them recently?

I have acknowledged that Hurts gets the edge at QB. That being said, Purdy does not exactly stink. He is remarkably composed for a rookie. And his career winning percentage is 1.000. What is Hurts' career winning percentage?

Purdy's career winning percentage is higher than Brady's. Does that make Purdy the GOAT??

That would definitely be an awesome story. Kinda hoping it happens, even though I don't like the 9ers ever since Montana was there.
