Okay cHUCKIE from Iowa. At least that’s what virtually every one of your posts reads likeTemple coaching legend Matt learned the hard way. Hope Dylan fiies his arse.
I don’t need smoke signals. We just didn’t need the 13th thread proclaiming it.Dylan is gone. How many more smoke signals do you want?

2 years and move on was always the planDylan is gone. How many more smoke signals do you want?
I haven’t heard the fat lady sing yet but she’s definitely clearing her throat. He might not get the interest he thought he would get. Here’s an interesting potential situation. What if he enters the portal but doesn’t get the offer he wants? Do you let him come back?I was responding to the poster still grasping at the thought of him returning
They need to pick an offensive identity and recruit to that, not around a player. If Dylan fits what they want to run and wants to come back, I'd take him, otherwise move on.I haven’t heard the fat lady sing yet but she’s definitely clearing her throat. He’s gone. We’ve made him a 7th round pick. He needs more exposure and success and he knows that. He will probably take a pay cut as a long term investment but who knowsI haven’t heard the fat lady sing yet but she’s definitely clearing her throat. I’m not sure he gets the offer he thinks he’s worth. Something tells me his ego is going to take a beating. That might be something he needs. He’s gone. We’ve made him a 7th round pick. We let EJ come back - so there is precedence. As much as I like Dylan - I like the thought of a more mobile QB. Also when setting the budget if Dylan and his financial commitment gone do we get 2-3 extra pieces that could have a huge impact? Will Geep bring anyone with him.I haven’t heard the fat lady sing yet but she’s definitely clearing her throat. He might not get the interest he thought he would get. A former 4 star lineman from GT hit the portal yesterdayWe let EJ come back - so there is precedence. As much as I like Dylan - I like the thought of a more mobile QB. He's made himself a 7th round pick. He’s gone. We’ve made him a 7th round pick. He needs more exposure and success and he knows that. He will probably take a pay cut as a long term investment but who knows
The worst thing they've done for this kid is maneuver him in situations where he doesn't have to compete for a position. That just builds a ridiculous sense of entitlement. He's made himself a 7th round pick.
So it's an Iowa singer?I haven’t heard the fat lady sing yet but she’s definitely clearing her throat. He might not get the interest he thought he would get. Here’s an interesting potential situation. What if he enters the portal but doesn’t get the offer he wants? Do you let him come back?
I said fat. I didn’t say ginormous.So it's an Iowa singer?
If DR comes back, it's because no one wanted him. If so, that sets the program back another couple of years. Time to move on.Too cute. Won’t be missed next year + Donovan is gonzo.
Already had that long before getting here. The worst thing they've done for this kid is maneuver him in situations where he doesn't have to compete for a position. That just builds a ridiculous sense of entitlement.
Somebody will offer him a guaranteed starter + NIL package. The question is what quality of a team will do that. A CFP team? A Top 25 team? A decent P4 team? A lesser P4 team? Is he willing to compete for a job he may not win in order to go to someplace better? If DR comes back, it's because no one wanted him. If so, that sets the program back another couple of years. You’re not entirely wrong. But I happen to believe our coaching and personnel has hindered him, as well. I think a better run program could succeed with his talents. He's made himself a 7th round pick.
There's a little bit more to increasing speed than just sprinting.I'd leave the light on for raiola (but there will be future sprinting involved), and the millard south qb too..
I'd like to see him run some delta force obstacle courses also..it would be helpful in a wide variety of variablesThere's a little bit more to increasing speed than just sprinting.
It would not do a thing for his footspeed jarvis.I'd like to see him run some delta force obstacle courses also..it would be helpful in a wide variety of variables
He won't get 3.5 million. Nico did't get the 4 mil he wanted and ended up on a train wreck UCLA team. I feel like we would get more value taking a competent transfer QB with a high completion percentage and mobility at half the price and using the money on RBs, DL, DT, etc. You get more value spreading money around.I haven’t heard the fat lady sing yet but she’s definitely clearing her throat. Completely different. EJ had questions about the offense under Holgersen and once those questions were answered he was ready to return. EJ was also a guy that had worked his way to the top of the depth chart and was ready to have a breakout year as the starter. Raiola has been handed the starting job unopposed since day one.We let EJ come back - so there is precedence. As much as I like Dylan - I like the thought of a more mobile QB. Dylan's tape will show a guy that can throw the ball but has a lot of deficiencies that he needs to work on. Best thing he can do is find the best QB coach that will help him improve his decision-making and pocket presence. He will never be very mobile but he can learn to recognize pressure and be more decisive.Somebody will offer him a guaranteed starter + NIL package. The question is what quality of a team will do that. A CFP team? A Top 25 team? A decent P4 team? A lesser P4 team? But if he comes back, they will spin it.

There are reasons why DR may stay or more likely transfer, I put it at 80%. I've been analyzing the overall situation and do plan on having a real long post tomorrow explaining my reasoning. Since it's interesting to me, and probably boring as hell to others, the psychology of a DR and the Raiola clan play into the entire scenario. I think it will be interesting as hell.Crazy To say this because I think he was the best QB on the roster. But I think it's time to move on as well. I've always preferred a more mobile guy. I'd be fine moving on with TJ and whoever they portalled in.
Holla

I am not sure why Dayton had anything to do with it. The kid was not good. His offers proved that and as far as I know he hasn’t signed anywhere. I think Nebraska threw him a bone hoping others schools may offer from getting attention. Just my opinion
