Now I see why there were so many 11 am games.

Yeah big noon Saturday became a thing to try to compete with the sec. Then they are making a big deal out of " taking" the cbs slot but cbs didn't want to pay up for sec.

Better get used to it. We're gonna see more and more of the 11 am games. I wouldn't be surprised to see us get 3 per season in the near future with OK and Texas coming aboard.

ESPN has playoff baseball today and tonight so that crammed some of their games to the morning slot.
ESPN does this every year on the day CBS has their doubleheader with a prime time game. They cram the 11 am slot.

I bet under the new deal we see the 3 best games at 2:30, 7, and 11 with the others scattered throughout.

I keep hearing the argument that the networks say the 11AM game is their biggest time slot (most profitable/viewers) just have after the prime time slot. I have no idea if this true or not, but for the fans who attend the games it will always be the worst. Anyway, having said that, I thought the crowd was very good Saturday. Also, I really like the 4th quarter start music….the cowbells were loud this past weekend during that segment.

All games will be on ESPN with the new deal correct? I don’t see why they wouldn’t move the afternoon game to 3 now. Gameday always goes over so the 11 o’clock kick is really 11:15, and games all last 3 and a half hours now.

More games on ESPN had to be at 11am last week because CBS has the exclusive 2:30 and prime time windows when they have a prime time game except for games that air on the SEC Network. So the prime time game that would normally air on ESPN (which surely would’ve been the Tenn-LSU game) had to air at 11am to not conflict with the CBS games.
