@Tom McAndrew et. al: I intend to provide or try to provide live updates for this but at some point the drive back from West Lafayette to Indianapolis may delay things. Looking at the math though I think I should be good for a majority if not all of the Penn State matches but may lag with some others.

Sounds good, @GregPickel. I'm probably out for PBP.

Carter showed why he's ranked #1 at 184. Great, gutsy win. I've seen the comparisons to Dake in terms of their ability and will to win. Tonight, he showed it.

On the flipside, I'm not sure why the refs continually allowed Keck to walk around the mat after every stoppage and catch a lunger. It was blatant stalling and at some point, a warning and maybe even a point should have been given.

I'm not sure why Beau gave up the takedown in the first with the clock expiring. He could have held that position for another second to finish the period. I'm guessing a mental lapse where he lost track of the clock. Still though an unusual move from an experienced guy. The only difference I can see between him and Mendez is the mental component. Skill-wise they are dead even, but again Mendez is a step ahead on the decision-making side of things.
