Loved it, thought they played extremely well. I’m not sure how anyone can not enjoy a 10 win season. And it’s a lot better than the 9-2 season you keep spouting off about.

We’re easily the worst 10-2 team in the country. We suck.

No doubt. Maybe the worst of all time. Until PSU's next 10-2 season. Small consolation but -

Team Manny gelled once again...............
It was a soul-crushing loss of epic and historical proportions for MSU.

The Spartans' 53 total yards were the fewest in program history, 3 fewer than the previous low of 56 gained against U-M in 1947 and 4 shy of the 57 against Auburn in 1938. Their minus-35 rushing yards were second-fewest in school history, trailing only the minus-48 total against Alabama in the 2011 Capital One Bowl. Their five first downs were the fourth-fewest in school history.

But when they called the timeouts, they didn't know they'd have 94 yards to drive. Calling timeouts there was the absolute right call. Heck, they got to mid field with plenty of time. Then 2 drops cost them the drive. Not EVERY comment has to be an anti-Franklin comment. Cause when you do that, sometimes you look really silly.
The radio guys said Franklin called the timeouts to prevent a long but make-able field goal by Michigan State’s excellent kicker. If he hadn’t,MSU would have run down the clock and tried the field goal knowing that if they missed, Penn State would have good field position but no time. The timeouts foiled that strategy and MSU had to punt. Smart football play by Franklin.

Michigan State had 53 total yards and 1.1 yards per play. I review box scores for every game, every week as part of my sports betting process and I've never seen a team with 1.1 ypp. I can't recall many teams even being close.

This is at least the second game of the season where PSU held an opponent to less than -30 yards rushing (obviously this is a lot to do with sacks)

They let an Olineman score on us before. I realize it was on our D to stop it, but after that stunt, being classy to MSU doesn’t motivate me. See Maryland with the ‘handshake’ game, Iowa for being Iowa, Illinois for trying to take our players after the death penalty, etc. Run it up James!!!
Don’t forget the Rutgers admin making a public apology to our fans after the way we were treated by their fans at our first game v them in the BIG.

It was actually Joe and then MSU coach George Perles that formulated that plan when it was announced PSU was joining the Big Ten. They hoped for an end of season game that could become a big rivarly weekend game.
