Anybody else already tired of Ohio State playing the victim? Cut me a break. That schools gets far too calls their way, positive press when it’s not deserved, ends up in the playoffs when it wasn’t deserved. Day’s apoplectic whine after their game yesterday about them not getting respect and people questioning their team. What a joke. STFU. Your program has received far too much privilege over the recent years

Day’s team would have lost if Al Golden could count to 11 and didn’t play the last two downs with 10 players.

but most importantly. Great white out, rain didn’t spoil our tailgate or the game. 1-0.

Day really looking like a clown after ND failed to line up any D Linemen on the left hand side of the line (and only had 10 on the field) in the final play of the game. Calls out octogenarian Lou Holtz first chance he gets.

Sounds to me like Day is losing his mind and gets goofy under pressure.
  • Holtz obviously coached at and had a lot of success at Notre Dame. Of course he's going to like their chances. He never claimed to be unbiased.
  • Holtz is 86 years old. Cut the guy some slack.
  • I believe OSU was the favorite going into the game so nobody nationally was disrespecting them. But Day must have felt the words of the 86 year old retired Notre Dame coach was the only motivation he could find.
  • Ohio against the world?? Dude, much of your starting line up isn't even from Ohio. They're playing for the team, not the state.

Fu@k Lou Holtz. Don't care how old he is. He's a piece of spit and will be til the day he dies.

As for "Ohio against the world," Day was born and raised in New Hampshire and ha lived in Ohio for a whopping seven years He should leave it at dissing the Human Shower Head.

I don’t care much either way, but weird place to go right after a fairly unimpressive win…

I think the win (away against a top 10 team) was impressive enough to make the digression to Holtz even the more puzzling. The game fried Day’s brain, seemingly.

Of all the major sports, college or pro, a loss in college football is the most damaging. You can lose five times in the NFL and consider that a good year. It’s a lot of pressure on the college coaches.

ND only had 10 men on the field the final two plays and zero on the left side of the d line on the final play. Day is lucky.

Yeah, Freeman knew but ND had no timeouts left. He decided not to risk a penalty.

Notre dame had them at 3 and 19 and rushed 3 and dropped everyone at the end zone? What a stupid defensive call. Put pressure the on the rookie qb to make a great pass. Instead he stood there and waited for it to develop and the catch was made at the one. That was stupid.

Freeman, like nearly every other hire from a lesser program, just isn’t ready for prime time. Showed in spades last night.

Day is feeling the pressure. This year's team hasn't really impressed me so far. Michigan will smoke them again if this is as good as they get. I think Day is feeling the pressure and knows if he loses to Michigan again this year he will be on the hot seat. I look at OSU and since Urban has left each year this team takes another small step backwards. Maybe it's me but they Are slipping little by little downhill they are still good but not what they were 5 years ago

Remember how people were popping a chub over getting Al back as our head coach?

You’d sell your left old nut for:

pay special attention to when they write “big ten champions”

Day can actually recruit and coach.
With you GrimReaper. Once he learns how to pick assistants and if he can survive the O$U fanbase, he has the potential to be what The Bear was to Joe. He is more of a headache than Hairball is.

He is feeling the pressure because they expect to compete every year for a PlayOff spot. It is called elite expectations, exactly what JCF seeks for us on our Road of Redemption in our nemesis eyes. Peoples, anyone who thinks the Buckeyes are soft are delusional. They got 99 problems but softness isn't one of them.

He inherited a great team when Meyer left--so like Coker back in 2000 he rode the Jimmys & Joes...now he has to adjust and coach with a little more focus. LOL.

Sorry to burst anyone's bubble, but Day isn't a good recruiter. Not like some of the others around the country. Ohio State has all but admitted that Hartline is the driving force behind that recruiting effort. As far as coaching goes, he's very good, but he's not great. His teams have never had the kind of dominating seasons we've seen from Alabama or Georgia.

Ohio State has had very good recruiting classes throughout Day's tenure. How it gets done is secondary. Franklin also relies heavily on his assistants, which is as it should be.

I mean, I suppose. I'm just reacting to the idea that Day, as an individual, is a great recruiter. He's not nor have I ever seen anyone claiming that he is. OSU as a staff are great recruiters with Hartline being the superstar. When Hartline finally gets his head coaching job, it's going to hit the OSU staff pretty hard.

Spot on. The truth is Al Golden lost that game for ND. Rumor has it he is still running laps after that call.
