Linderbaum would be a dream come true. My thinking is give this year to Trubisky and if he crashes get a better QB option in the much-richer 2023 draft. That said.. If the pick is Willis I am done.
Gimme some names my man....how about that huge DT from Georgia or Alabama?
Lindenbaum from Iowa would be a great pick. But with the (sadly) death of Haskins I think they go QB.
They're all so different and with the Steelers base being a 3-4 they need a Javon Hargrave type that can clog up the middle and then rush the passer. Tuitt is still up in the air from what I've heard. Heyward and Alualu are getting up there on age as well. Walker may be the first pick overall so that leaves Jordan Davis or Deonte Wyatt.
I still think they go best WR available which could be the 6th WR drafted in the first round.
That being said, it'll probably be a QB.
They always been so good at finding value in the draft at that position though.
They drafted Dan Moore last year and Ben said he's going to be a great tackle. They also signed Chuks to a 3 year $29+ million contract this off season so I don't think they'll be drafting an OT first round, nevermind trading up. As for the rest of the OL, they bought 2 or 3 other players in free agency. The guy they brought in from the Vikings is a beast.
I agree, but they really only have 3 starting WR on the roster right now if you count Boykins, who they picked up after the Rat Birds cut a couple of weeks ago. Also, Dionte Johnson is in his contract year.
Drafting a WR in the first round also gives you a 4th year team option as well.
I think at 20 anything goes really. In other words, you go with the best prospect overall in the areas of need. For the Steelers, DL, WR, QB are all needs. I'm thinking by pick 20 the next best player will be a QB or a WR.
So I'll go with QB Willis or WR Watson from North Dakota State.

They are not drafting a Center. They signed two free agents capable of playing C and have invested in a high draft pick last year on a Center.
You're not wrong but Ben was on the WDVE this week and said draft a center and move Green to guard. Maybe he hasn't been paying attention to the free agent moves.

Pickett will at least get to see what that stadium looks like full!
