Georgia, Tennessee, Kentucky

Close regional opponents is one of the things that makes college football so great and so popular (for actual fans, not mostly-disinterested TV viewers).

I think Tennessee will get Vandy, which means that, in order for us to get Vandy, we'd have to also get Tennessee. So that leaves one to complete the group. Georgia will certainly get Auburn and Florida, so it's unlikely they would be in a group with us. If they were, we'd be out of the group that would include Vandy. This is fun.

Who said anything about that? The question was about OUR 3 permanent opponents.

But since you asked:

Georgia's 3 Permanents: FL, Auburn, SC
Tenn's 3 Permanents: SC, AL, Vandy

Everyone's 3 permanent teams will be different. There will be no pods. +
Big group of 8 (Alabama, Auburn, Georgia, Florida, LSU, A&M, Texas, and Oklahoma) will play 2 Bigs and 1 Little group.
Little group of 8 (South Carolina, Kentucky, Tennessee, Vandy, Ole Miss, Miss State, Arkansas, Mizzou) will play 1 Big and 2 Little.

South Carolina permanent: Georgia or Florida (1 Big), Tennessee/Kentucky/Vandy for (2 Little).

Arkansas & Texas is a deep seeded rivalry. OU should definitely get Missouri because of their Big 8 roots.
I agree with your reasoning. Taking it a step further, put ALL the former Big Eight and/or Big 12 schools in a pod. I'm sure it will be discussed if it hasn't been already. You know that Texas, Oklahoma, and A&M are almost certain to get linked anyway.
