Anybody got any good non-shuttle ways to park at Ole Miss? Place has been a disaster for parking since they got parking passes and I don’t know that I’m going to have a line on one this year.

I second what Xeno said.

In the past, you could park on the street in front of the elementary school and MLK for free too. Also Molly bar in and out is the quickest exit to hwy 7.

You deserve a gold medal for going to this game. It’s been 15 years since I have been to an Eggbowl up there. I always tried to find some place close to Highway 8 to permit a quick and easy EXIT, when that became necessary.

There is public parking just South of the stadium North side of Hwy 6., or there was, back when I was going to games up there.
Just off Old Taylor. Not that bad of a walk up the hill. Also, they had shuttles pick people up.

Good luck.

I'm assuming your Ol' Lady is a Reb and you expect to get lucky with her for this? Or your FIL is loaded and you're trying to stay in the will?

we got lucky once and found a spot in a small lot on tyler ave, near the square and walked to the stadium. was a decently long walk, though. year before last, we parked at oxford intermediate school and took the shuttle. was pretty easy in and out, short shuttle ride, and parking was free there. we've also parked on the south side of 278, too, in past years, and taken shuttle from there. can't remember exactly where it was though. so that doesn't help.

The one time I went to a football game in Oxford, I crashed with an Oxonian friend who wasn’t interested in the game but drove me there and picked me up afterwards.

Last time I went there was a mall right off of campus at the entrance. I believe it was on 82. About a 15 minute walk to the stadium from there.

Nope....Lettuce had the correct response. My advice would be leave Starkvegas heading west. Look to your left and turn in when you see the Pony sign. Spend a few hours drinking and then check the score on your phone.

Just find somewhere in The District and go watch it in a bar. You're going to need to drink a lot! Use Uber

Well why don’t you just park where you have been 17ing parking for the last 10 or so games you have attended, seems like you would know better than us, dip shhit.
If I had been parking in the same 17ing place the last 10 or so games I wouldn't be asking the question, dip shhit.

Ubering in Oxford is pretty convenient/reliable on regular game days.

Missed 10 Egg Bowls total since 1973.

This will be number 11. And I will have no regrets.

May not lose 45-0, but it will be BUTTFUGLIER!

I don't know how any of you that have been there can go. I've been to hundreds and hundreds of MSU sporting events but only 2 there. I went to a football game there approximately 52ish years ago, State wasn't even playing but I went with a friend. I've been to zero baseball games and 1 basketball game in the old Tad Pad. I was interested in a certain Chi O there that convinced me to make the drive from State. It was well worth it, and I don't mean the game, we left that early

They have shuttles from that location now. That's a longer walk than 15 minutes unless you're an Olympic speedwalker. It's not 82.

It's worth going on the off-chance we get a win there.

There is no greater feeling than sitting in Vaught Doublewide and experiencing a State victory. It's one of the requirements for being True Maroon.

This will be the first one I've missed there in a while.

If I'm not mistaken, Ole Miss has had somewhere like 3-5 parking lot deaths where extremely intoxicated drivers ran over other fans following the game. So when you leave, be very careful and avoid those cars driving erratically and over 50 mph in the parking lot area.

I can't do it, I'm a pi$$ poor sport and the first time one of those seersucker suit wearing, plaid bowtie sporting self overvalued cvnts mouthed off I'd end up hurt or in jail one. I've been there all I'll ever go.
