I only like the BL. Not a tomato fan and I do not intentionally eat mayo. If it is in something I can tolerate it.I've been doing a lot of my own research here lately, and I think I've figured out the perfect BLT sequence: from the bottom, piece of toasted bread, mayo (I'm a Blue Plate stan but do what you want here), small amount of lettuce (I like a romaine), slice of tomato that's been salted and peppered, bacon (to your preference; I usually go 2 slices especially if it's nice and thick), second slice of tomato (I'm talking thick slices from a large tomato here), more lettuce, then my other slice of mayo-d bread. Lightly mashed down, then cut into triangle halves. My only variable is sometimes I put a few dashes of Tabasco on one of the bread slices.
Also, do yall peel yall's tomatoes? I kinda like the peel and view peeling as a hassle, but boy do some folks have an OPINION.
I'm a recovering mayo hater, I get it.I only like the BL. Not a tomato fan and I do not intentionally eat mayo. If it is in something I can tolerate it.
You seem upset. I never peel my maters or taters cuz dats where all the good vitamins are. I can make some mean A$$ed mayo outta whole milk yogurt to boot.I only like the BL. Not a tomato fan and I do not intentionally eat mayo. If it is in something I can tolerate it.
The tomato and the mayo is the best part and being in the company of bacon, that's saying something.I only like the BL. Not a tomato fan and I do not intentionally eat mayo. If it is in something I can tolerate it.

1. We keep a surplus stock of Duke's in the pantry. I will eat Blue Plate if there is no Duke's available. I would eat the sandwich dry before using Hellman'sI've been doing a lot of my own research here lately, and I think I've figured out the perfect BLT sequence: from the bottom, piece of toasted bread, mayo (I'm a Blue Plate stan but do what you want here), small amount of lettuce (I like a romaine), slice of tomato that's been salted and peppered, bacon (to your preference; I usually go 2 slices especially if it's nice and thick), second slice of tomato (I'm talking thick slices from a large tomato here), more lettuce, then my other slice of mayo-d bread. Try Campari tomatoes. They are small Italian tomatoes and they taste like a tomato should taste. They are available at Sams Club, Kroger, and Publix.1. 2. I prefer romaine myself, but my wife generally does the shopping so I have to live with Baby Spring Mix.
3. The tomato has to be homegrown, with preference for an Arkansas Traveler. If no homegrown tomatoes are available, I just make it Bacon Sandwich, or a "B" for short, and call it a day.
4. I don't cut it at all.
5. Hot sauce on a damn BLT? Heathen.
I grew up in a blue plate house. My mom used to bring jars of it back from MS when we visited family. But I’m a full on Duke’s guy now. Blue plate is clearly 2nd best but Duke’s is just betterI've been doing a lot of my own research here lately, and I think I've figured out the perfect BLT sequence: from the bottom, piece of toasted bread, mayo (I'm a Blue Plate stan but do what you want here), small amount of lettuce (I like a romaine), slice of tomato that's been salted and peppered, bacon (to your preference; I usually go 2 slices especially if it's nice and thick), second slice of tomato (I'm talking thick slices from a large tomato here), more lettuce, then my other slice of mayo-d bread. It wouldn’t matter if it really was from 1965… there is nothing new under the sun. The problems we have now are problems that have always existed. Crime, income inequality and sexual issues have been problems for every society that has ever existed. This clip isnt from 1965, its from an updated version of Harvey's story and was part of a newspaper release in 1996.
Slightly less prophetic- the whole metal detectors and drug sniffing dogs part wasnt in the original, nor was the overcrowded prisons and judges promoting porn part.
Anyways, interesting youtube clip.
I beg your 17ing pardon - a thread hijack takes work and ingenuity. Some just don't want to put in the effort.Hmm, I notice that it’s the liberals who are quick to go to the BLT talk, which is code speak for ‘why are we talking politics’.
Can’t hide reality.
Please to meet you, hope you guess my name but what's puzzling you is the nature of my game. Where we would be much better off on is if government and the voting public would focus on stuff that matter and impacts everyone. Like fiscal policy and crime. Be nice if we’d quit trying to cancel bud light for a trans person and the left quit trying to cancel everyone who does not care to participate in a pride night.

Evil paves its way thru deception of false labels disguised as good intentions. Historical fact proves this.If I were the Devil, first I'd corrupt the church by tying it to conservative politics.....
Not really interested in dire warnings of moral decay and national descent from people backing Trump. Makes as much sense as having Bill Clinton babysit my teen daughters....
Look, I love BLTs. I just go one tomato instead of 2.I beg your 17ing pardon - a thread hijack takes work and ingenuity. Some just don't want to put in the effort.
I get where you are coming from, but I would also ask you to ponder what you would be doing right now if our ancestors in 1776 took the same attitude.People suck today, in 1965, in the millennia before, and will for the millennia after (if we are lucky enough not to extinct ourselves). Don't worry about the things you can't control and take care of your own house and help your neighbors. It's all you can do. No sense in stressing in whatever you find lacking or fear in today's society. We ain't special - it's all happened before.

This is a mischaracterization. No one on the left is trying to cancel people for not participating in Pride events. If you don't like a Pride event, by all means, stay home or go somewhere else. If anything, I think people on the left would be much happier if people who didn't like Pride events stayed very far away when they're happening.Be nice if we’d quit trying to cancel bud light for a trans person and the left quit trying to cancel everyone who does not care to participate in a pride night.
I could have been more clear. I never implied (or didn't mean to) we should ignore being shat on by an oppressor. Or stand by while others take abuse. Harvey's rant was mostly* a take on how others live their lives that had little or no impact on how he lived his - other than him finding it annoyance (he wasn't prophesying - he was observing). That's all wasted energy you can direct to your own life and those close to you.I get where you are coming from, but I would also ask you to ponder what you would be doing right now if our ancestors in 1776 took the same attitude.
You’re messing up, man. Not nearly enough bacon. I only eat garden fresh tomatoes. I won’t even try that grocery store swill. Disgusting. It’s toasted white bunny bread (the only time I ever buy white bread), I hate Mayo but like mustard on mine. Zatarain’s Creole is preferred, then two nice slices of tomato. Putting lettuce on first is bush league. It won’t stick to the sauce and it will slide everywhere. You always put your sliced veggies against your sauce on any type of bread or bun. So toast, creole mustard, tomato, then butter lettuce. Iceberg is also acceptable, but not preferred. Next, a buttfuck ton of bacon. No less than four pieces of thick sliced. I’ll go as many as 6. Then your top piece of toast. This is the way.I've been doing a lot of my own research here lately, and I think I've figured out the perfect BLT sequence: from the bottom, piece of toasted bread, mayo (I'm a Blue Plate stan but do what you want here), small amount of lettuce (I like a romaine), slice of tomato that's been salted and peppered, bacon (to your preference; I usually go 2 slices especially if it's nice and thick), second slice of tomato (I'm talking thick slices from a large tomato here), more lettuce, then my other slice of mayo-d bread. Lightly mashed down, then cut into triangle halves. My only variable is sometimes I put a few dashes of Tabasco on one of the bread slices.

Can’t say I’m familiar with that dietWell I’ve been on the w h o r e diet for a week and lost 13 pounds.
True, the issues Harvey discussed in the '65 speech were issues that existed half a century ago in that original version. I was just pointing out that the clip wasnt nearly as prophetic as it seems at first glance, since something from '96 was claimed to be from '65. To me, a lot of that speech's impact is on how specifically accurate he was...but that accuracy is because the writing was updated 30 years later and he was simply talking about things that were then happening in the '90s.It wouldn’t matter if it really was from 1965… there is nothing new under the sun. The problems we have now are problems that have always existed. Crime, income inequality and sexual issues have been problems for every society that has ever existed.
