Fast Break Marathon @ 182 and 25. Serves breakfast lunch and dinner, open 24hrs, beer, has easy in and out. Plate lunches on Sunday are excellent

Anywhere that has a beef and bean burrito and fried chicken livers.
B- Quick right off campus by the Campus Book Mart use to have the best beef/bean burrito but many small gas stations across MS has/had them.
Seem to be getting fewer and farther between now for some reason.

They don't do any food anymore, but I agree back in the early to mid 80's they got me through many hangovers with their grease. I talked to the newest proprietor when she opened it up about 2 years ago and she said the owners of the building wouldn't install the fryers and fire suppression equipment required because of that expense and also the required insurance increase if you put those fryers in

I could tear up some 82 Texaco Chicken Tenders right now.
I forgot about that place. Used to get my coffee there every morning but can't remember what I'd eat

Side topic.....a legit breakfast sandwich, whether it's a biscuit or what....is a delicacy. Hard to find a good gas station that has them. I don't recall any in Starkville. Many times just have to opt for the Chick Fila chicken burrito. Someone please help me here, apparently Fast Break Marathon maybe?

There's a Kangaroo in Pelahatchie that simply can't be beat.

I worked at that one. Dianne cooked some mean chicken tenders and catfish. Used to eat it all day while I worked. Would also give all the leftover chicken to the bouncer at the club across the street and he would take care of parking lot cleanup after I closed.

I don't remember one in STK, but Dodge's in West Point (or anywhere) usually has some good chicken.

Also there was a convenience store on old 25 in Carthage - before the 20 year construction of new 25 - called the Wagon Wheel or something... they were money for tater logs and fried liver nuggets. I stopped in there many times on the way back to school.

I miss going into the Texaco on 182 and old West Point Rd. Had to get the illegal scratch offs there before the Ms Lottery.

Fast Break?
Sprint Mart?
Texaco Food Mart?
Chevron Foot Mart?

It’s either the fast break (182 near reed road) or Sprint Mart near Clayton Village. I normally fill up at the Small Mart (Walmart market) because of location and price but I kind of hate it. It’s not well laid out and there’s almost always a wait.

The 76 has sandwiches that are better than any of the chain places in starkville. Fast break also has some good food too

Was going to ask, best for what but why are you going after my C-store? Coldest beer in town and I've tested a bunch of them. Shopping experience is first rate.**
The beer cave is cold. I go in there after hot games to cool down. So some of that tit sweat is mine lol.

That Sprint Mart at Clayton Village pi$$e$ me off every time I go in there which is usually around 5:00 after work. There will be long lines of people at 2 registers and another 2 or 3 employees standing back there doing nothing, or they're sitting down at the tables they have for eating at and on their cell phones, or outside smoking. And there's always somebody that wants to buy a damn roll of scratch off tickets and it takes them for freakin ever to decide which ones they want and then to convey that to the employee. I've gotten where I refuse to get anything but gas there, but you can forget about getting a receipt for the gas because they are too damn lazy to come outside and refill the roll of paper inside it. And never any paper towels to check your oil with or any window washing fluid or squeegie's. They had a shooting out there and a stabbing too within a few weeks of each other about 6 months ago I guess it was. Both of those were the late night riff raff crowd

The Exxon at the corner of 182 and Old West Point Rd has some real good BBQ. Probably the best Rib Tips in town when they've got 'em but it does smell like weed in there 24/7

That's not unique to Starkville, apparently. The Spring Mart close to my house is the same way. My son calls it Creep Mart.

To add to the discussion - one of these days, my Windowmaker is going to completely clog up and send me to the great Mississippi State Message Board in the sky. If they do an autopsy and analysis of the plaque, they will be able to see that 98% of it came from an approximate 2,250 Hot Stuff pizzas that I consumed from that station between 2000 and 2005.
