What do the rest of the shareholders think about this? Surely the cause wouldn't be to just sell beer to the .01% would it? That would cost them a lot more than $20B.
It really doesn’t matter what the typical investor thinks. You don’t like it, sell your stock. Firms like Blackrock will just buy those shares at a lower price and gain more influence. AB stock has already started to recover. Currently $58, 52 week high is $67.

ESG scores are controlling all of this. And every corp in the US will have to adhere to that to operate. So we won’t be able to escape it.

It has been a very systemic takeover of power, flawlessly executed.
Politicians > educators > judges > prosecutors > law enforcement > Financiers > CEO's > HR
The one roadblock stopping universal/total control is LOCAL law enforcement.

A lot of this can be stopped by local government. This is an area where liberals have dominated conservatives. City/county councils, mayors, sheriffs, and school boards control much more of our lives than the president or a senator. This country was created to form state rights. It’s time we force action at the state/local level.

California has passed a bill basically saying if a child wants to transition and the parent tries to stop them the parent will be charged with child abuse and arrested....hopefully this doesnt spread nationwide

Good. Bout time. I am so tired of having the alphabet mafia forcing their "normalcy" on me via corporations.

I get it, but like I said. It’s state/local govt that has the real power. If their citizens didn’t want it then show up at the ballot box. If that’s what their citizens want, fine. That’s what a democratic republic is about.

I agree and dont see why people get mad at the politicians when they should be mad at the people that voted for them....but imagine if you were one that didnt vote for Gavin Newsome and he's telling you he will arrest you for protecting your child....that would be a problem that probably lands me on the 11:00 news

Pure lunacy. It`s now or never for conservatives - and reasonable liberals - to speak up and fight back. We will lose our country if we don`t. The doctors giving kids the "puberty blockers" and cutting off body parts should have their medical licenses removed and should be in jail. I hope their victims start suing the hell out of them. Don`t buy the AMA/American Academy of Pediatrics/APA reasoning - much of their logic is based on studies designed to show a favorable outcome for "gender affirming care," which is anything but. Some woke morons invent these terms then the abiding media disseminates it like it`s the gospel truth.(see Inflation Reduction Act, etc.) What is really is should be called "gender reversing mutilation." The leftists have outshouted/protested traditional groups of people for the past several years, which is why people are fearful of standing up to them. Doing that, not buying their products is the only hope. They may listen to the bottom line - $$$ - maybe. I doubt if I will ever drink another Budweiser product or enter a Target or Kohls again. Of course, there are many more that need to be exposed.

As a mostly neutral observer, it has been fascinating to watch. Conservatives seem to acknowledge they can't take down every corporation or brand that supports or endorses non-conservative values, because that's all of them. Those who are leading charge acknowledge that it would be fruitless to go after everyone all at once. It takes 100% dedicated focus on just one or a small number of targets. For whatever reason, Bud Light really drew their ire and they have had a laser sharp focus on taking them down. If they succeed as they have thus far, I think it will give a lot of companies reason to be cautious. If they can take down Bud Light, they can take down anyone. And while they can't go after every company, you don't want your company being the one they zero in on next.

I think you have seen some fallout from this as both Target and Starbucks, both of whom have led the way with pride month stuff, have really scaled it back this year.

The Bud Light brand may have its one and only shot at redemption. AB heir Billy Busch has offered to buy the brand back from AB Inbev..

That's the only route I can see to the brand making a rebound. New owner who had nothing to do with any of the previous issues. A new owner can start from scratch without any taint of all the other stuff. Nothing AB Inbev can do would seem sincere at this point. A new owner could make the same moves but with success.

I daw that too.

A very public changing of the guard with a couple well worded press releases, and I could see a rebound.

At least, if there's going to be a rebound, that seems like the best path, imo.

Yep. I think it's a sure thing. Particularly since it'd be back in the hands of the founding family.

I suspect it'd rebound rather quickly and could probably be done pretty easily, as you say, without any major marketing campaign or gimmicks.

I'm not seeing it going '' back to the way it was '' so easily even with a changing of the guard to a Busch heir.
It's not like Bud Light was a tasty beer which was cherished for its flavor. I mean ''Less Filling, Tastes Great'' was a shame to begin with. Those who have found an alternative beer they like are not likely to switch back to line the pockets of the rich Busch heir as their new cause to support.

I think it would. I don't drink at all, so I have not particular views on the quality of the product. But, it was the most popular brand for one reason or another.

I think a clean break and a return to the original ownership, with a some good PR statements to fully distinguish themselves and their agenda from AB Inbev would satisfy most of their base.

That said, I doubt AB Inbev would sell.

Good point, if seen as a retreat or concession, AB Inbev is not likely to sell.

Yeah, removing parental rights and indoctrinating children at every turn is really funny.
Indoctrinating children… assuming you mean progressives are doing this? Gtfo.

So you’re fine with religious grooming, beauty pageants, etc.?

I think the beauty pagers are disgusting. Religion is religion. Trannies are just mentally ill people wanting your kids. And the religion of the perverse human. Hope you don't have any.

Progressives is a fraudulent term.
Abortion and family destruction, censoring free speech, lawlessness, subjugating the population with government support through taxation and destruction of constitutional government is not progress.

Less Filling Tastes Great is a Miller Lite marketing campaign, not Bud Light.

There is a certain twist of irony to it. The fascinating part is that this was done without an assist from the major media outlets. It was purely grassroots. which is why I did not think it would last.
