Great song. I think I’m going to go down an REM rabbit hole for a little while. I’ve never really delved into their catalog outside of the many songs I’ve heard.
they have a nice rabbit hole to go down.
I'm partial to Life's Rich Pagent...

and then pretty much anything from Fables of the Reconstruction to Document.

There was a time where they seemed to be putting out a ton of music and I think I just heard them so often that I never felt the need to buy it (except for Monster, which is a great album). I think it’s time for me to correct that.

Friday (1/24) is the birthday of Dave Getz. While not a founding member, he became the drummer of Big Brother & The Holding Company shortly after they formed. To celebrate, a clip from one of their legendary performances:

I was there. Everyone knew she and Jimi Hendrix were going to be "something special", but almost no one had seen them live before. Truly an unbelievable experience!

Outlaws were simply fantastic. Like a lot of other bands, they must not have been as "influential" as sheryl crow strumming 3 or 4 chords on her acoustic guitar though.

was flying to China years ago, back when they had various "music channels" on the arm rest plug in system that they had listed in back of in flight magazine and one was "outlaws". And the flight over pacific long enough to get drunk sober up and get drunk again. Fell asleep drunk to Greg Grass and High times, woke up to Green Grass and High Times and it is permanently seared into my sub conscious.........
