I don't disagree that Waylon and Willie are very similar. So if they are essentially the same I pick Willie due to his longevity.

I think Willie has more mainstream/crossover success too; almost everyone - country fan or not - could pick Willie Nelson out of a crowd.

Wearing a Dwight Yoakum style hat, this woman should be considered royalty in Country Music hierarchy. I have had the pleasure of seeing her perform live.

FINALLY --- Emmylou Harris has had a near 50 year career and is still on top of her game. To me she epitomizes country royalty. I first saw her back in her Gram Parsons days when I was in Colorado in the early 70's, and I've probably seen her live a few times in every decade since. A country purist, who has always had class and put the song first. I have to confess that I've also been in love with her for all those 50 years too. Google some music videos of her when she was in her 20's --- absolutely one of the most beautiful women I've ever seen.

That's debatable; Emmylou has always been gorgeous! She's got that slight overbite that, due to some hideous flaw in my genetics, drives me a little crazy. I wore out my 45 of 'Boulder to Birmingham' twice in 1975. I was 16 and absolutely in LOVE with Emmylou Harris!
