What's your favorite slot?

I'm a poker guy primarily, but there are times when I need to get away from that and just go mindless for a wile. Have traditionally played Jacks or Better but did a lot of Wheel of Fortune my last time in Vegas. Was playing Video Poker locally a few weeks ago and just hemorrhaging money. Went to the bar and drank scotch and watched the playoffs then went downstairs to sober up before driving, and I put $100 into Buffalo. Never played before, but 45 minutes later, and I'm sitting at $1000 with this 17ing machine screaming "Buffalo!!!" at me anytime I do anything, and it was super fun. Going to Vegas later this month and will be playing poker, but I have some freeplay and will probably mess around with slots some to chill out. Also my wife doesn't know how to play poker, blackjack, etc. What should I be trying out? I'm new to the slot world.

I have no clue what buffalo slots are but saw an announcement the other day that a casino on the coast (maybe the Beau Rivage?) is going to actually include a buffalo slot room in an upcoming renovation, so apparently it's super popular.

Play the ones by the entrances. Those are usually set to pay out over 90%.
Not a slot guy, teach your wife to play blackjack. Buy a book and she can learn basic strategy. They make charts to memorize.

Yes. Gold Strike already has one. They are some of those new games with so many lines where you don't even know how you win when you get paid.

We had good luck at Price is Right machines in Vegas last year. Either Aria or Park MGM. I look for the traditional reels. I can't understand all that cartoon ****.

Hell, you don't even have to memorize them. I've played with people that put their card with the instructions right on the table. That gives the casino a .5% to 1% edge depending on different variants they play. Certainly not their most profitable game, but they are fine letting people play basic strategy and give them $0.50 or a $1 of every $100 bet.
