10,000,000 people will tell you that it's worth it. ;)Those lines have gotten extremely long. I have Global Entry that includes PreCheck and I have Clear. I travel a lot for business and it is well worth having both for me. If you travel more than a couple of times per year, then you can probably justify the cost. Just please don't check in through Atlanta, because it's already the world's busiest airport.

I found it useful. Really does save time. I just wish TSA was consistent.

I got it with my NEXUS card. Will renew this year. It's good for 5 years. I like having it.

As someone mentioned, if it is worth it will depend frequency, when, and where you fly. I like having it, makes the screening process easier. I have a friend who flies frequently who says it is a waste of money; just choose an early flight! As far as the shorter line, been useful some but not always.

I don’t regret buying it.

My flying greatly diminished at work when Covid happened and has not really returned, which I'm very happy about.

I barely fly now and am still very happy to have TSA precheck, well worth it!

"Worth" is very subjective. I fly a couple of times a year (2 flights there, 2 flights back). At $85 for 5 years breaks down to $17 a year, divided by 4 flights is about $4.00 more per flight (less than a starbucks coffee). Not having to go through the hassle of taking off belts/shoes and less "fuss" with the TSA screeners (I think they are much nicer on the pre-check side), plus shorter lines, it's well worth the money. I believe the renewal is $75 after 5 years. Never thought I would really need it, but got it for an intermational flight about 8 years ago. One of my better decisions to get it. Wife absolutely loves it...

Is it worth the cost? Feedback will be appreciated.
I've had it since 2016 and definitely recommend it. 99/100 it will be quicker than the regular security line, even if they look the same length. The TSA line will move much quicker due to folks not having to take out laptops, take off shoes, go through a metal detector rather than the AIT Machine. And at the very least, if they were to move the exact same speed, which never happens, you still get to avoid all the hassle mentioned above. Even if you only fly one RT/year, it rounds out to $17/trip, which isn't too bad IMO.

The ATL airport is the busiest in the world, but not due to people flying in and out of Atlanta. It's due to the amount of connection flights. It's still busy to get through security, but it doesn't compare in my experience to the security lines at Heathrow, Newark, JFK, Paris CDG, Miami IAH, or Vegas. Heathrow has gotta be one of the absolute worst in the world. If I counted correctly, I've been through security at 43 airports around the world, and I would say ATL is borderline top 10 in terms of security in comparison. Small regional airports are by far the best in terms of security, but you're almost always getting a connection unless going to a major hub.

I don't go there but Starbucks coffee straight up is like $3 and sometimes they do 50 cent refills. Not sure why people always say it's $5 just bc of their crazy ice cream drinks and whatever.

Anyway I definitely second the international flight comment. With the unpredictable nature of customs and passport control, you'll be happy to cruise through security.

Try to get somebody else to pay for Global Entry, such as work or as a credit card perk.

Global Entry is the way to go. Global Entry is everything that TSA PreCheck is and more. If you have Global Entry, you'll automatically also get TSA PreCheck and all of its benefits. On top of that, you'll get to avoid the general customs line when returning to the U.S. from abroad.

I fly in and out of Austin, a chronically stretched airport, frequently for 17 years. I've never seen the TSA Pre-Check line longer than 20 people.

I was Platinum status for many many many years - I've flown a lot. TSA Pre-Check is worth it, and if you fly a lot CLEAR is worth it on top of that. And if you fly a lot internationally, Global Entry is worth it.

If you have to fly out of Hartsfield, like I do, you would gladly pay for TSA PreCheck

Like others have said, it is well worth it, but alot of people are getting it. Depending on airport and time of day, lines are getting longer, but not near as long as the standard line. I travel alot domestically (about 30 weeks a year). TSA is great, but more powerful wire CLEAR Plus. No pulling out ID, shorter lines, prioritized pre-check line - all worth it. $60 a year, but I get it free with Delta because of my status. I still pay for my wife because I like it so much.

I need to upgrade to global entry….just don’t go international much, but plan to more. And, my reserve card will pay for it.
