Well, if u work with precious metals, no.Is it worth the cost? Feedback will be appreciated.
I've had it since 2016 and definitely recommend it. 99/100 it will be quicker than the regular security line, even if they look the same length. The TSA line will move much quicker due to folks not having to take out laptops, take off shoes, go through a metal detector rather than the AIT Machine. And at the very least, if they were to move the exact same speed, which never happens, you still get to avoid all the hassle mentioned above. Even if you only fly one RT/year, it rounds out to $17/trip, which isn't too bad IMO.Is it worth the cost? Feedback will be appreciated.
The ATL airport is the busiest in the world, but not due to people flying in and out of Atlanta. It's due to the amount of connection flights. It's still busy to get through security, but it doesn't compare in my experience to the security lines at Heathrow, Newark, JFK, Paris CDG, Miami IAH, or Vegas. Heathrow has gotta be one of the absolute worst in the world. If I counted correctly, I've been through security at 43 airports around the world, and I would say ATL is borderline top 10 in terms of security in comparison. Small regional airports are by far the best in terms of security, but you're almost always getting a connection unless going to a major hub.10,000,000 people will tell you that it's worth it.Those lines have gotten extremely long. I have Global Entry that includes PreCheck and I have Clear. I travel a lot for business and it is well worth having both for me. If you travel more than a couple of times per year, then you can probably justify the cost. Just please don't check in through Atlanta, because it's already the world's busiest airport.

I don't go there but Starbucks coffee straight up is like $3 and sometimes they do 50 cent refills. Not sure why people always say it's $5 just bc of their crazy ice cream drinks and whatever."Worth" is very subjective. I fly a couple of times a year (2 flights there, 2 flights back). At $85 for 5 years breaks down to $17 a year, divided by 4 flights is about $4.00 more per flight (less than a starbucks coffee). Not having to go through the hassle of taking off belts/shoes and less "fuss" with the TSA screeners (I think they are much nicer on the pre-check side), plus shorter lines, it's well worth the money. I believe the renewal is $75 after 5 years. Never thought I would really need it, but got it for an intermational flight about 8 years ago. One of my better decisions to get it. Wife absolutely loves it...
I fly in and out of Austin, a chronically stretched airport, frequently for 17 years. I've never seen the TSA Pre-Check line longer than 20 people.10,000,000 people will tell you that it's worth it.Those lines have gotten extremely long.
