It doesn't work that way. Content providers like YTTV pay Disney for broadcasting rights. I'm sure Disney wants more money and YTTV doesn't want to pay it. For them that would mean lower profits or force them to increase subscription rates.
This stuff happens all the time including with cable providers like Comcast & Spectrum. I expect the two sides will work something out shortly because neither side wants to lose the revenue.
So I flipped it around. Lol. Hey for those that have Hulu I think they are raising the price as noted in another post but if you cancel and then get it again you don’t have to pay more.

YEP, me too, looking for opinions and alternatives from other siblings. I spent much time reviewing other providers yesterday.
For now, I'm sticking tight. I'm starting to look into alternatives just in case this lingers longer than expected. ESPN obviously hurts during bowl season, but once that ends I'm good until next year. The big one is the local ABC. However, WNEP actually has their own app that you can download and watch live or replays. I use Roku, but I'd assume it's available on most platforms. That is just for WNEP content though, not the full ABC lineup.
Update: just saw that the two parties have come to an agreement and stations are starting to be restored as we speak. Also, it appears everyone affected will still receive a $15 credit.
I'm surprised the $15 credit isn't being pro-rated. (2 days of inconvenience / 31 days) *$15 = $0.97
Good news on yttv. I did the free fubo trial. I like yttv better.
