I thought everyone would like that pic...this pic has the best view!
This was right at the end of my street in front of our beach club.... $15 million and its yours. First 92 foot convertible off the production line at Viking. My friends son works in sales for Viking, it was coming back from the boat show in Fort Lauderdale back to Viking HQ in West Palm Beach and lost all power in 5-8 ft seas. Why they couldn't deploy the windless anchors because they are run off the hydraulics on the boat. Luckily the new owner hadn't taken possession yet and this is all on Viking. If I am the owner and just spent $15 million on a boat I would want a new one not this one. Just dragged it off yesterday after 3 days stuck on the beach.

Twice.I wonder if Ginger or Mary Anne were on board. My luck, I would get Mrs Howell!
I did not know you were a marathoner.60 seconds each time! Sad
Since that boat has twin engines, I'd also want a damn convincing explanation on how it lost both and what they are doing to fix that particular problem so it can't happen again. This was right at the end of my street in front of our beach club.... $15 million and its yours. Lost everything not just mechanical, generator failed as well and lost all electronics. Heavy Seas why they couldn't deploy the windless anchors. Winds have been ripping here so seas were big 5-8 ft swells with some 10ft all onshore and pushed the boat that was about 1 mile off shore right onto the beach. The props and driveshafts are going to be a mess. If I am the owner of that boat I am not taking ownership I want the next one off the production line. $10 million base price and the owner put another $5 million in upgrades on it.Since that boat has twin engines, I'd also want a damn convincing explanation on how it lost both and what they are doing to fix that particular problem so it can't happen again.
A 92' boat that can't handle 8' swells doesn't seem like a very good investment. Not only wouldn't I take delivery, I'd be looking for another builder.Lost everything not just mechanical, generator failed as well and lost all electronics. I will gladly take any Viking boat even if I could afford $15 million. Viking are stellar boats that have been around a long time and great reputation. The rough seas didn't cause the malfunction it was other issues. Viking will take care of him.A 92' boat that can't handle 8' swells doesn't seem like a very good investment. The boat is six years old and on its second owner. It's far from new.If I am the owner of that boat I am not taking ownership I want the next one off the production line. $10 million base price and the owner put another $5 million in upgrades on it.
It’s far far from derelict Six yrs on that boat is nothingThe boat is six years old and on its second owner. It's far from new.
Since boat!!! One thing people note is all the climbing on it the way it’s configured. How do you get to the swim platform for instance. It is well appointed. Love the Teak and Holly floors. Get a good survey before $$$ changes handsWe’ve been thinking:
Great boat ... Viking boats are excellent boats just look at the list of top sportfishing yachts and who has multiple boats on there...We’ve been thinking:
not as big...It looks like the "Stugots II" Tony Soprano's boat that Vito gave him the down payment for.
Shalom

I had dinner last week in Dallas with a Uber-successful Commercial Real Estate guy from Florida who is quite familiar with the Palm Beach area. I asked him about the value of Mar-a- Lago and he started laughing. His answer “ it sure as hell is not the $18 million as portrayed on some news outlets”. He gave example after example of assets ….not near as developed or opulent as Mar-a- Lago Club in the Palm Beach area that are valued at well over $170 million. In fact….right now there are two ocean front lots ……one owned by a famous fashion family that has a cleaned ( no home present) lot….listed for $ 200 million . The other property slightly smaller….listed at approx $ 165 million.BTW….my contact is a life long Dem. So no bias on the value ….just honest assumption of his areas values. So this is 15 million and according to the judge mar lago is 18 million![]()
Ha ha….I exited right after dinner. Ten years ago…..it would have been a different story! Getting a great nights sleep vs waking up with a headache is how I roll now.and I say again rich people are the most fun. tell me you got into some trouble after dinn
My neighbor built a $30 million estate on A1A just north of Delray Beach for his friend. Part of the land was owned by Billy Joel. His main house is on the intercoastal and 4 bedroom guest house on the beach while running under A1A. The Koch widow just offered him $100 million for the property. He turned her down. Crazy how the market just keeps skyrocketing hereI had dinner last week in Dallas with a Uber-successful Commercial Real Estate guy from Florida who is quite familiar with the Palm Beach area.
